You didn't doom her, she won't be a monster or demon or anything like that the next time you see her. She will just be a little bit different.

All according to plan. As long as she remembers fondly who helped her and doesn't go all traitor. Maybe some seductive toys for us to use that are not so 'purified'ZeroStormZZ wrote:You didn't doom her, she won't be a monster or demon or anything like that the next time you see her. Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
With nothing left that Celtica could think of, the party was off. She would definitely miss the people here but was certain that she would see them again eventually. "Alright everyone, we make for the Sacrima shoreline. It's a bit of a journey and we will likely run into many monsters, but a little thing like that isn't going to stop us." she said, and everyone nodded in agreement.
The sun was high in the sky as the group departed back the way they initially came. Since most of them knew the route this time things went quicker. There seemed to be less of a monster presence around as well, they couldn't hear any cries for help or lewd noises. Perhaps the knowledge that a queen had fallen caused them to flee? Either way, it made it an easy trip back to Lethrina.
Aidola would still be on their route, but Astraia wondered if there was anything they should do here first. They could get rid of some unneeded items by selling them off to shops here, or perhaps they should check on that goblin base to make sure that they weren't causing trouble.
A. Keep going on the route.
B. Sell items at the shops. (If so, what items?)
C. Detour to the goblin base.

We need to take a look at the statue in the goblin base.
It will surely...
help us on our journey!

Eh, no need to harass the gobs, and I don't think we really need to sell what we have at this time. I'm picking A.

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
I'm up for B and C, but B first.
Since the Holy Sword Durandal seems to be working out so well, we could sell the Volt Scimitar. Since it's made by a Ingis it should go for a fair price.
Personally I'd be up for selling the Diver Suit too since it's so bulky. Even though we are going to the beach, maybe we can get something more form fitting.
Short Sword(both of Asia's other weapons sounds like they can come handy in a pinch)
Scarlet Dress(I doubt Lina would want to go back after experiencing the bliss of zentai)
Either the Cyclone Blade or the Shinobi Edge since they're both wind related. Personally I'd want to keep the Shinobi Edge and hope we come across a kunoichi or someone who can use it.
I guess we should keep the coral rings since they don't take up a slot really... Though we could maybe sell some of them...
EDIT: PLUS, who knows who will buy them <_< >_>

D. Find a peaceful spot, hopefully one with some radiating energy, and pray to the fox-woman statue
Also, Rainday: Nephenee is without armor (or weapon) right now, we shouldn't go and sell all the armor we have.

I'm on board with this plan of selling stuff, but I'm not sure its worth bothering with C afterwards. So I guess I'm voting B.

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
Well, B has 3 votes so far, so if we do end up selling stuff off, maybe the (sexy) merchant we run into we can probably buy her something that benefits her too, but this is just a hunch.
I will admit that I definitely am into testing out the Tamamo statue afterwards, unless there might be a special plan for its use in the future.
As for the goblin den checking out, it doesn't have to be a fight. We could find something interesting(loot or a human goblin Queen) or a new event that leads us on a fun side quest against another monster. My main point is, as long as it's not taking away from anything else, we should explore all options for some fun times =) Though that is my playstyle in rpgs showing, explore all options before moving on, which can be quite rewarding.

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
Probably will be unavailable to update for quite a while tonight, so I'll say the sell prices for all the stuff Rainyday mentioned.
Volt Scimitar: 40
Diver Suit: 90
Short Sword: 20
Scarlet Dress: 60
Cyclone Blade: 55
Shinobi Edge: 70
Coral Ring: 20 per ring
And this is with Celtica's charisma boosting suit on. So first off do you want to sell any of that and if so what? Second, do you want to try praying to the Tamamo statue or giving it to another character?
Also while Nephenee is lacking a weapon at the moment, she does have her basic armor from before she got the Negative Space Armor at the moment, since she didn't have that with her when her inventory got dissolved.
And then seeing some discussion, go to the goblin base (Whether after selling stuff or otherwise)?
A. Yes
B. No

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
If we're going to sell stuff, PLEASE DON'T SELL Scarlet Dress and Shinobi Edge, the other items I won't argue on.
I think I'd want to have Celtica keep the Fox-woman statue to pray to it/focus energy into it/perform ritual around it; rather than give it to another character.
And... well, it's sounding like we're heading back to the central region, so I guess we can stop by the Goblin Base again to see some aftermath/missed loot. So A.

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
We should definitely sell the short sword, and I'd say all but one or two of the coral rings (unless they only provided protection against slimes, in which case we should consider selling them all). I really think we should hang on to the volt scimitar and shinobi edge for weapons, and for armor I want to hang onto the scarlet dress. The diver's suit and cyclone blade I'm up for negotiation on selling, but we could still get some use out of the former, I think.
I do want to see Celtica pray to the statue, though if others want to see Asia or Artoria do so, I'm up for that too. :3
And I'll pick B for the goblin base option. Like I said before, we've kicked the goblins around enough. If we bother them any more, fighting or looting or anything aside from that, they might form a vendetta against the party. And while by themselves they might not be a threat, they could be appropriated by a monster queen or other stronger enemy to become a greater threat. Pick your battles, people.

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
Hmmm, not much in the way of profit... I suppose we can keep the Volt Scimitar for elemental coverage, Shinobi Edge should be kept. As for the Coral Rings, sell all but two of them(Celtica's and Elphelt's). Keeping the dress as of D's request. Everything else SELL
Also, I really want to pass the Fox Statue off to Bullet(low will so she can be easily toyed with and I can see Tamamo eating up that body(sexually)).
Also since the option has presented itself, A
Also, no problem dood, you take your time.
AMENDED*

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
I agree with keeping some of the coral rings, all but two. The short sword we could get enchanted, though if it'll cost too much, the sell. Maybe the diver suit, as well, unless we can utilize it for the coast. The element swords we could hang on to as a back up.
While unpopular, I say we sell the fox statue to the right collector or worshiper. Might get a better price for it

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
While they weren't exactly low on money, it was always good to stock up on funds in case of an emergency or if they saw a lot of valuable items they wanted. Though ships had very limited access to the seas right now, there were likely still some exotic items in the shops around the ports.
Once in Lethrina the party made their way around, Nephenee greeting some friends and telling them of the battles that occurred while Celtica went to the shops and used her bartering skills to sell off some items for solid prices. The Diver Armor, three Slime Coral Rings, Asia's shortsword, and the Cyclone Blade all together making the party a nice sum of 225 coins to put Celtica nicely over 500. "Oh Cel, you really have a way with words. Or maybe they were just too dazzled by your handsome looks~" Elphelt said playfully.
That wasn't Celtica she wanted to do though. First finding Nephenee once more, who had grabbed an iron lance to defend herself with, and then taking a look at that fox statue. "Hmmm, I wonder..." Celtica said as she held the statue and closed her eyes, seeing if praying to the thing did anything. Nothing seemed to happen though, so she just put it away.
The last thing on her to do list around Lethrina was heading back to that goblin base from before. "I bet if we tell them we beat that Undine they would totally freak out." Lina said, grinning behind her mask. "We don't need to freak them out, just check up on them. Freaking them out comes if they are acting up." Celtica responded. A 45 minute walk later and they were once again at the entrance to the fort. Looking inside though, it seems like they may have been the only living things at the fort.
"It's...abandoned?" Asia asked as they looked around the floor and then downstairs. The place was still a mess but the two things missing were the alcohol and the goblins themselves. Even the coin pile was still there. "Only goblins would leave the money and take the alcohol." Bullet said with a sigh. "Do goblins even use coins? Actually, do any monsters?" Elphelt wondered.
"Well...huh, I don't know. I mean there must be monster cities somewhere and they would need a currency." Artoria said, though now she was rather curious herself about that. "We can ask the next monster we beat." Celtica said, happy to take the money for herself with it's owners long gone. Searching around, there was also a strange orb filled with spiraling water. Looking at it, Celtica couldn't help but want to grab it to examine later.
Leaving the lower floors, they went through a hallway they hadn't explored yet to reveal a partly ruined library. Pages scattered along the floor, books flopped open everywhere. Some of this stuff looked potentially interesting but it was a total mess. "Hmmm..." Celtica wondered, they could try and put things together to make sense of the random pages here and get some info. That would probably take a fair bit of time however, perhaps more than it would be worth.
A. Gather info in the library.
B. There's no time, leave and continue west.

Awesome, some profit for our troubles and a "interesting" water globe.
I pick A, we might find some interesting info, or maybe even a page for Suzuka's Notebook! Been a bit since we filled that out.
