World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)

Free lore? And maybe more pages for the notebook? Going with A. Glad to see that there's no goblin presence to worry about.

Info is power. Lets hit the books.

C, take a good long look at the orb and resurrect our goddess Undine!

Nah every one already voted for intel so I will go along with that.

Chipping in to agree with checking out the books. Been lurking for a little while now, so may as well get in proper.

"Let's look around here, we might be able to find something useful in these books." Celtica said, the party starting to sift through the many papers scattered around. It seemed like in between pages ripped out of books there were research papers here as well, some of which being on that Blood Ring that Celtica now wore.

There was some stuff missing, but it seemed like it was a prototype for trying to create an item that could emulate the powers of vampires without the side effects caused by previous experiments. What those side effects were, Celtica didn't find any info on. However, it looked like the project was put on hold for one reason or another. The missing or torn pages were quite bothering to Celtica, it made her feel like she was only getting half the story here.

Meanwhile, the data the others found seemed more focused on that Metal City that Signum had mentioned. Along with it was a page of Suzuka's Notebook, this one featuring entries on Tengu and Platinum Angels. Scattered notes from unknown and unnamed people showed that they were frustrated due to the lack of information on what happened deep within Metal City and that their spies had all stopped reporting in. There were diagrams of Platinum Angels along with a few other types of machines, with notes trying to figure out any potential weak points, but it seemed like they were reaching a dead end.

"So then, Queen Automata has these Platinum Angels under her control?" Celtica wondered aloud. "Sounds like it. Probably for the best that we stay away from there for now." Lina said. Suzuka's Notebook made these things sound like a total pain to fight. Any other data around was too scattered and broken to get anything of substance out of unfortunately.

Though they didn't get as much information as Celtica hoped, more knowledge was always welcome. That seemed to be the last of anything of worth in this place though. With that, the party departed back onto their path. They traveled the woods the same route they came, though this time they had no need to stop at the cave that once housed the Ignis Lisbeth. Continuing on they only just reached it before nightfall thanks to their detour but they did reach Aidola Village.

"Should we sleep here for the night? There are more monsters out after dark." Asia said. "Probably, though we're still pretty battle ready. I bet we could handle any monsters that come our way." Artoria said. Celtica wondered what to do.

A. Visit the bar again.
B. Go to sleep and wake up early.
C. Decide to continue on through the night.
D. Write-In.

I am also up for going out in the night of course.

D. Give the fox-woman statue to Artoria, and go to sleep, leaving the judgment call on what to do with it to her tomorrow.

Also, I probably wouldn't mind running into Tengu.

We should press on into the night, I'm curious as to what manner of creature we may discover.

Query: Would it be better to continue praying or pass the statue to another party member each night?

The statue might require more prayers, might need to be in a secluded place at night, might need to find a party member(s) with a low enough will, find someone it/she truly desires, or have a special event tied to it that triggers it.

Just asking because we all seem pretty divided on what to do with it.

Even though it was dark, the bar was naturally still open and knowing the bartender Celtica figured she could at least get some nice information from the place. Going inside it looked about as usual, a nice decent sized pub with some patrons around and at the bar was the blonde haired woman.

As Celtica walked in to talk to the bartender, another girl was walking out with a toned build and short black hair. "I'll have a drink." Celtica said, the bartender nodding and getting her something. "I didn't expect to see you again for quite a while." she said, sliding her the glass along the top of the bar. "Well, we completed our first goal and are looking towards a new location."

"I had heard that the Slime Queen had been slain and wondered if it was you. Take the drink, it's on the house. Just a little something for a woman who turned out to not be all talk." the blonde haired bartender said with a smile. "Any news over here? We are moving out to the shoreline." Celtica asked. The bartender thought about it for a moment. "You are the big news right now. But other than that, there was a real full on demon roaming around this parts. Not anymore though, someone got to it already and took it down." Celtica wondered who would have the strength to do that, demons are known and feared for being stronger than mere monsters.

The bartender continued. "What hasn't stopped are those oni bandits rampaging around the areas northwest of here. You would think those dreadful bandits all getting turned into monsters would at least calm things down, but they are even worse as oni than they were as humans." she said with a sigh. "But you probably want to hear more about news towards the ports. You know you won't be able to sail out anywhere without looking towards the more shady folk, right?" the bartender asked, and Celtica nodded. "Well be careful around those shady individuals. I've been hearing reports of people getting kidnapped, brainwashed and sold off at auctions more and more frequently. I'd wager that the kinds of people who would be willing to take crazy jobs like going out in the ocean now could be those same kinds of people." the bartender told her.

Kidnappings and auctioning off of people, though it may not specifically be a monster issue it still bugged Celtica all the same. If they ran into any of that stuff she planned to deal with it. "So basically be careful and don't take candy from strangers you can't beat." Celtica said, and the bartender nodded. "More or less. Port Natra on the northern side of the Aeros River is a pretty nice place, but you'd probably have more luck in the shadier Port Einzel on the southern side."

"Thank you for the information, it is very appreciated." Celtica said as she finished up her drink. "No problem. I'm just a simple bartender but I'll do what I can to help your noble goal. The name's King by the way." the bartender said, shaking Celtica's hand before they left. That information could prove useful, but what next? It was even later now than before.

A. Stay at the inn and go to sleep.
B. Head out tonight.
C. Inspect the Whirlpool Orb.
D. Write-In

Also, very interesting about the shady people at the port, looking forward to that. It would also be nice if along the way we could take care of those Bandits after what they did to Bullet.

Well damn, praying to the statue isn't going to really do anything until we trigger something... guess we can just hang onto it. As for the current set of options, it's probably best if the party gets some sleep, so I'm picking A. That aside, if more people pick C, then I'll switch my vote.

D maybe we can chat up to Makoto talk her into joining or have Bullet learn from her.

As for the statue, still say we sell it off to a worshipper or collector for gold, items or information. It doesn't do us much good as is.

Leaving the pub, Celtica spent a bit of money getting rooms for the group at the inn. It would be better to leave tomorrow, she figured. That didn't mean she planned on sleeping just yet however. Once within her room she took out that strange bluish orb of water that they found at the goblin base. Celtica couldn't recall why she felt the need to take it anymore strangely enough.

It seemed like every angle one looked at they would see a mesmerizing spiral of waves and water, it was quite pleasing to stare off into. "Beautiful..." Celtica said under her breath as she stared deeper and deeper into the spiral, her eyes going blank and her body relaxing.

"Ok Cel, I'm all ready for bed~" Elphelt said in a cheerful tone as she entered the room only to find a totally entranced Celtica staring deeply into the Whirlpool orb, her mouth agape. "Cel? Uh, hello?" Elphelt asked, waving her hand in front of Celtica rapidly and tapping her on the head. With eye contact broken Celtica was starting to come to, but once Elphelt looked down at what she was staring at she fell into a trance even faster than Celtica did.

"...huh? Elph? What did...oh..." the suited beauty said as she saw Elphelt staring at the orb in her hands and made the connection, making sure to not stare at it again. "So that's what it does. Useful, but dangerous. I should snap you out of this too...although, there was that thing we talked about..." Celtica said, starting to doubt what she actually wanted to do. They had talked about how Elphelt wanted to become stronger to resist things like this, maybe since she was tranced she would be open to some...guidance from Celtica...

Later that night, Asia was moving down the halls to the door to Celtica and Elphelt's room. She could have sworn she heard some strange noises from it and there was always a chance that a monster had managed to sneak in and attack them. Creeping the door open slightly to look inside, a monster attack wasn't exactly what Asia saw.

"Hahahaha! You are at your limit, Holy Knight Celtica! Embrace submission and become my subject!" A haughty sounding Elphelt said as she cracked her whip down on a moaning Celtica. "Ah~ N-Never...I am a knight of...ooooh...justice!" a redfaced Celtica moaned out, her arms bound together and the same with her legs.

"That doesn't sound like the resolve of a pure knight in your voice! You've already begun sinking into the pits of bliss! Let yourself be engulfed fully, and be reborn as my dark knight so we can rule this world!" Elphelt said triumphantly, laughing as she whippped Celtica naked body more and more. "O-Ooooh~...Queen Elphelt~...I cannot...resist...any...a-a-a-a-a-A-A-A-A-Asia...h-h-h-h-hello..." Celtica said, going from the lustful moaning of a defeated knight to the timid babbling of someone who just realized that they had an audience.

Opening the door more, Asia entered. "Celtica...what is going on?" she asked. Elphelt's formerly dominant looking face became beat red as she babbled out nonsense. Taking a deep breath, Celtica composed herself and looked Asia in the eyes. "This is willpower training. I am helping Elphelt become stronger mentally. That is all." Celtica said with an extremely neutral tone. "That's...all?" Asia asked with hesitation. "Well...it's really nice of you to do that. Those whip strikes must have really hurt, you are so strong. Do you need healing?" Asia asked innocently.

"N-No no, I'm fine. You should get to bed. We should all get to bed, we have plenty of work in the morning." Celtica said, and nodding Asia left and closed the door. Once she was back in her own room the healer sighed. "Celtica, did you really think I would believe that?" Asia asked no one in particular. "Miss B.B. Hood did say there were people who liked that stuff, but I never would have guessed Celtica would be one. Well, I guess it isn't a problem or anything..." Asia said before drifting to sleep, though she couldn't help but dream of a more vivid and fantastical version of what she had seen.

The next morning, Celtica and Elphelt tried to avoid eye contact with Asia as everyone regrouped. Celtica technically wasn't lying to her, but she really didn't want to admit to Asia that she may have had ulterior motives to that training. "Ok everyone, another long day ahead of us. Let's get a move on!" Celtica said with her usual confidence. Along with the path, there was the area being messed with by those bandits...and then to the southwest was the ruined shrine where Celtica found Durandal. She had scanned it pretty cleanly though and only found the sword.

A. Continued down the path to the east.
B. Detour and deal with those Oni bandits.
C. Return to the ruined shrine.
D. Write-In.

Yay, our fooling around had positive(and very sexy) effects! Also, I think our Bond with Elphelt may of gone up =) I can now see her actually snapping us out of trance (via whip, hehehe).

Where to go though... We could goof around and check out the shrine, Lina's Greed skill may help us find something we missed, or we can go take care of the oni which might strengthen Bullet more as a result(or put us at the mercy of strong, muscular women...)

In the intro post before Celtica made it to Aidola and got the party together, it's where she found Durandal.

B and celtica and Elphelt may need to teach Asia a proper lesson in knowing her place, a little Bdsm and kneeling at our feet would do the girl some good.
