We might be pushing our luck with the orb, especially in the middle of combat with three angry oni coming at us. I really wouldn't want them to smash our only means of hypnosis aside from the chancy Magnum Wedding

This was looking like it could be a rough fight, and with the boss still looming somewhere out there it would be dangerous to blow all their resources right now. Thinking about what she had on her as she avoided a vertical swing from an oni, Celtica decided to drink some of the red potion in hopes it would help. At first it seemed like nothing happened, but moments later her body and blade glowed and a power surged through them both.

Celtica's body shone bright as it felt like the sword itself was merging to her, a righteous light overcoming her body as she felt sparks of magic throughout herself. Her form shifted, her skin turned to armored silver metal as she became almost like a living suit of armor. Though she was now more like a golem than a person, she didn't feel any corruptive energy from her transformation. In fact, she felt nothing but the power of light flowing through her body and mind.

Celtica pointed at one of the oni, her sword merged with her right hand. "I will punish all evil." she said in a serious and echoing voice. "Cel? Is that you?" Elphelt said in surprise, and the eyes of all three oni were on her. "You think becomin' shiny will stop us from crushin' you?" the violet oni said as she charged in once more only for her club attack to be parried and Celtica to deliver a volley of harsh slashes to the monster. A light charged thrust to the chest was enough to take down the savage. "Holy shit..." the blue oni said. "I am a monster slaying weapon. You will all be wiped out." Celtica said.

The others had seen enough, it was time to join in and they began striking the scared oni duo. The oni that had once possessed fearsome might and incredible strength were now afraid of the silver woman standing before them and it showed, their attacks had less confidence in them now. They were slower, easier to read and that made it simple for Celtica and the others to defeat them.

"I guess those potions we got are good for something." Lina said. "Targets destroyed." Celtica said as if not hearing Lina. "Yeah, but I think it's messed with Cel a little. Hopefully it's temporary..." Elphelt said. While it did make Celtica stronger, she was effectively a weapon in her current state.

With the monsters defeated, Asia healed people while Artoria and Nephenee looked around the room. "Hey, look! There's a page here!" Artoria said, grabbing a page of Suzuka's Notebook off one of the shelves. This one was on Blitzen, a kind of lightning elemental, and some weird Highbreed monster thing. Nephenee also found some coins, but it seemed like for the most part the stuff here was all useless junk.

As they looked around for anything of value, the still Celtica glowed once more and turned back to normal. "Wha...what happened to me?" she asked as she caught her breath. "Seems like that potion caused you to merge with that holy sword of yours. It made you crazy strong, but you were acting totally weird." Lina explained. Still, a power boost like that seemed highly useful to Celtica. But now it was time to decide where to go next.

A. Straight down the hallway.
B. To the left down the hallway.
C. To the right down the hallway.
D. Write-In.

Not every potion is a bad end all the time, though that's mainly because the drinker was wielding a holy sword. Had it been something like Dainsleif or those wolf gauntlets, things probably would have gone bad very quickly. There's still two more uses of that potion though, and now you know what it does.

Oooooh, unexpectedly nice. Though of course now we have to save the rest for evil weapons.

Agreed, evil weapons and armor for our follows (eventual worshippers)

Also going with C

Celtica decided to lead the party down the right, though there was a highly alluring alcoholic smell to the left even without actually reaching that path. She figured it would only be stronger when they got closer. Instead they moved down the right hallway and hiding found themselves looking at a pretty large room with a massive table and a group of six oni at it getting drunk.

Looking at it two of them seemed to be those two red and blue from before that went off, which means that the party must be close to circling around the place. Straight ahead there was another path that involved entering the room, along with one to the left and on the entire other side of the room one to the right that likely led back closer to the party's entrance. The oni were laughing, drinking and chatting. Sometimes hitting each other too. They seemed preoccupied at least, but that amount of enemies would take some serious firepower even with an ambush.

A. Go back to one of the previous two paths.
B. Attempt to reach the new left path.
C. Attempt to reach the new straight path.
D. Go all out to try and slay these oni.
E. Lead a sneak attack on these oni.
F. Write-In.

That is really cool and nifty about the red potions! Opens up a lot of fun options, we will have to run into Nine again and see about some more

Also opens up an idea, enemies force feeding us the potion with cursed equipment on, possibly even iron ball and chain to instantly make us act like slaves and other fun ideas.

Celtica wanted to see what was in the left path, but that involved entering the dangerous room. There was a real chance of being seen especially with a group of this size. No one was particularly noisy in their current gear though so maybe it could work. Carefully, the party moved along the edge of the room. Luckily none of the drinking oni were looking their way but they still needed to move quickly while not attracting attention.

The party breathed sighs of relief as they made it out of the room and into the hallway. "Jeez, I can't believe that worked." Lina said from under her suit. "We may need to go back through there so don't relax just yet." Bullet told her. Moving through this hallway and forward led the team to a small arena of sorts. A curved battlefield with a wall at the end, a nice chair at the top to look downward at the fights that likely took place there. The marks of battle and dried blood on the ground also implied action had taken place.

"Is this some kind of training area?" Asia asked. "I reckon it's more like where they deal with prisoners." Nephenee said. Unfortunately it seemed like this was a dead end, which meant that no matter what route they took it would have to be through the oni filled room.

A. Go to the current right, back from where you came from down one of the other two paths.
B. Go to the current left.
C. Go all out to try and slay these oni.
D. Lead a sneak attack on these oni.
E. Write-In.

Nothing was here, and pressing their luck could be a bad idea. Making sure that none of the oni were looking back in their direction the party returned back the way they came. While the massive size of the room meant plenty of oni were inside it also meant that there was lots of room to sneak away with them distracted.

"That room is going to give me a heart attack." Lina said as they made their way back down this hallway and reached about where they were before. From this position the hall leading to that room where they found the Suzuka's Notebook page was to the left, while to the right was a hall leading to a closed door. And then a little ways right followed by a left was where that intoxicating aroma was coming from...

A. Go right.
B. Go left.
C. Go down the path the smell is coming from.
D. Write-In.
