World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)

Agreeing with the choice of buying the Obsidian Blade for Asia. If there aren't any immediate effects, also buy the Wildfire Sword for Lina and a Volt Scimitar for Celtica.

Ok, so Asia's weapon is pretty clearly decided, but let's see what the consensus is for others.

Well let's just say A to both.
So we take all three!

I already have my answer to that above, but for the record: A for both.

"I think I would like to make some purchases. If I bought the Wildfire, Obsidian and Volt swords that would come out to 95 coins correct?" Celtica asked. "All three? Yeah that's correct!" Lisbeth said excitedly as the coins passed to the blacksmith. "Maybe this rumor stuff isn't so bad if I end up getting some paying customers out of it!" she said with a smile.

"Lina, I figure you could use this." Celtica said, tossing the red sword to the mage. "Oh yeah, I can definitely use this. I'd like to see a monster try and get close to me now!" Lina said as she put away her weapon.

"And Asia," Celtica continued. "I bought this one for you. If nothing else, you need a weapon to defend yourself with." she said, handing the young girl the black blade. For a moment it looked like Asia was having trouble with the weight but she got her balance again fairly quickly. "If it's alright with you, could I get some training with this sometime? I'm not sure I could use it in a real fight right now." Celtica nodded, sometime later she would need to make a note to find time for that. The girl might be physically weak but she had dedication, and that was an important part of growing strong.

The last of the three swords Celtica kept to herself, always good to have a backup plan. If they somehow ran into something that could repel holy weapons then this would be an excellent replacement weapon. "A pleasure doing business with you all, is there anything else you need?" Lisbeth asked. It looked like she was acting extra nice now since Celtica bought her wares.

A. Leave the cavern.
B. Ask if you can look around the place.
C. Ask about the other people she met.
D. Ask why she is in the cavern.

She had mentioned earlier why she's in the cavern, so let's ask about the other visitors. C.

C. B might impose and sour her mood. Besides, the group might get some context on happenings in the area.

C looks like a nice next choice.

Celtica still had a few questions, even though Lisbeth seemed harmless. "You said that other people came here looking for the treasure, but from what we've heard the people who went to the cavern vanished."

"Like I said, you've come to the wrong place if you are looking for a cavern actually filled with treasure. If that place does exist, this isn't it. The caves here don't go very far back either and I've looked into them so if there was hidden treasure I would know." Lisbeth said. "Basically, nobody has disappeared in this place. Not since I've been here anyways."

"Then about the people you met? What happened to them?"

"I explained that to them, some of them got it and left, others thought I was trying to hoard the treasure for myself and got angry. I happen to be able to wield the swords I make though, so big mistake for them! Either way, they left or were forced out of this place and went to I don't know where." she explained.

Celtica couldn't see any contradictions there, but for people to go missing there had to be a reason and that cavern very likely existed. Lisbeth herself didn't seem to be the cause of the disappearances though, Celtica thought.

A. Leave the cavern.
B. Ask something else (Write-In).

At this point, you may as well be saying the cavern is a waste of time, so I'll be putting in a vote for A.

Yeah, we've got all there was out of this cave. Hopefully the one we're looking for is further along.

Yeah, lets go. This is clearly the wrong cave, but we got some nice swords anyway.

A it is.

"Sorry for bothering you so much." Celtica said, all this questioning had probably been annoying to the blacksmith. "Oh don't worry, I would say that your trip here was a net gain for me." Lisbeth said in response.

She couldn't think of anything else to do here and they were burning daylight. After all, the sooner they got to the Knights of Sacrima the better. "Let's go everyone." she said as the party turned around and began moving out of the cavern.

They could see the sun's light and the vivid blue sky from the opening, far brighter than the inside of the cave had been. However as the party continued out that merely put focus on the figure that appeared in their path ."Leaving so soon?" they asked, a busty woman with a green serpent-like lower half, some green and gold clothes, glasses and long green hair that formed into the heads of snakes. Her golden eyes glowed within the sunlight, as did the eyes of all the serpents. Celtica realized that a Gorgon was blocking their path, but before anyone had time to close their eyes they were all being hit by the effects of the petrification starting at their feet and legs.

"Damn it, I'm not about to let some snake spoil my mood!" Lina said as she prepared a fireball, even if her body was having a bit of trouble moving at the moment she still had some time to cast. Celtica prepared to deliver a holy wave the gorgon's way as well before the entire team felt their backs struck by painful flames.

Bullet turned to see a smirking Lisbeth, heat emminating from her right hand. "Damn it, I knew we couldn't trust you." Bullet shouted at her as her entire legs turned to stone. "Jeez, you really couldn't have gotten here any sooner? I was really afraid of screwing that up, I can't go four on one! The only thing keeping me safe was that amulet!" Lisbeth complained to the gorgon. "I've been waiting outside for a little while, there was never any need to worry." the monster responded.

The flames hurt a fair bit, but Celtica still managed to get out a Crusader Wave with a yell towards the gorgon. It was a slow and telegraphed swing though, meaning that the monster was able to slide away to easily avoid the attack. Now the petrification was up to their hips. "So then Lisbeth, what the hell are you!?" she shouted.

"I'm just a girl trying to make a living in a tough world." she said with a smug grin and a shrug as fire enveloped her. When she was visible once more she had red skin, glowing orange eyes, pink fiery markings all along her nude body and pink flaming hair, pink flames appearing off of some other parts of her too. She did wear one thing, a golden amulet around her neck. "I'm an Ignis, and I honestly am a blacksmith who loves swords. It's just, I need some nice materials to make some nice weapons. Having Aya over there spread rumors about a treasure was an excellent way to draw people here and get everything valuable from them. Some for me, some for my friends. Magic items are especially loved."

Bullet attempted to use one of her arms to force herself towards Lisbeth, but that was an easy dodge while Lina tried another fireball towards the gorgon named Aya. With her left arm petrified and her right close she could barely aim the thing though. The smaller Asia had been turned to stone up to her neck. "Lisbeth, please don't do this!"

"Relax, this petrification is only a temporary measure." Aya said, licking her lips as one by one each of the girls turned to stone. Celtica cursed to herself for not seeing through Lisbeth deception as she too took the same fate.

Celtica woke up with a loud breath, instantly trying to move her body but finding it chained up. "Celtica, you're awake!" she heard Asia say, the swordswoman getting her bearings and turning her head to see the girl was chained up next to her. This must have been the back of the cave with how dark it is. Though only vaguely, Celtica could see the statues of Lina and Bullet a little ways away. And much closer was Ignis Lisbeth. "What do you have planned for us?" Celtica asked curtly.

"Well Aya has been really generous and decided that she doesn't want any of you, which means I'm going to have some fun with those other two later." Lisbeth said. "So that means that you two get to be acquainted with the third member of our little gang. Showtime Yuu!" she added, and then pointed down. Asia and Celtica were being chained up on the wall, but they hadn't actually looked at what was beneath them until now.

On the ground was three fairly large treasure chests, two of them right below the two girls. The one that wasn't started to move and open, revealing a woman who looked like she was made of solid gold stretching and yawning. Her eyes were like brilliant rubies, and her body looked like it was merged with the chest's bottom and was adorned with jewels of all kinds that decorated and covered up her breasts and pussy to a small extent among other areas. Her hair was long as well, and just as shiny and gold as her body was. "Finally. It's been so long since I've gotten to do anything." the woman said. Celtica had read what was in that notebook, this was certainly a mimic.

"So then the magic items you steal that you don't use for swords..." Celtica said slowly and Lisbeth nodded. "Oh, you're familiar with Yuu's race? Good, I'm tired of long explaining. I make swords using what we steal, what I don't use I turn into a magic item to give to Yuu here. It's a really great system we have going."

"Now then, welcome to our world~" Lisbeth added before launching flames that melted through the chains holding them up. Asia and Celtica fell and as they did the mimics below them opened themselves and tentacles grabbed the two. While Asia was too weak to fight back, Celtica did was she could to try and escape the tentacles. It was futile, but she managed to stave them off for a few moments before being forced down into the chest.

The mimics closed shut with their prey inside, tentacles viciously moving along their bodies. Making their forms feel so aroused, tentacles moving into their mouths and pussy. More than that however, it felt like the entire inside of the chest was pressing against them. Not just their bodies, but their minds were being pressed. The once reddish color of the tentacles and inside started to glow a golden color that totally filled their view. To the addled minds of those within the mimics it was beautiful and blinding, making them lose sight of their fears, goals and memories. Against such a lustful assault on every part of her body even Celtica lost herself to bliss, her eyes rolling back as she let the pleasure and gold wash over her. There was no escape, the mimic so thickly surrounded her that even her lustful moans were completely muffled to the outside world. The now golden tentacles that wrapped around her legs were now going into her legs as if they were one in the same, and moments after that even her two legs became one in the same. A metallic golden sheen was creeping up Celtica's tan skin as lights appeared from her body and revealed beautiful jewels on it. "I feel so beautiful...more beautiful than any human..." she thought to herself. "I want to dazzle everyone..." another thought said. "Pretty and golden...my beauty will leave all those weak humans in a daze..." Thoughts like that continued to pour into her emptied head until it was full again with the thoughts of a monster.

On the outside Lisbeth was looking at her statues when she heard the two mimics open up. "They're ready." Yuu said, and the blacksmith monster turned to see Celtica and Asia turned completely golden in skin and hair. Their clothing had been wiped out to reveal a body wearing only jewelry. "Oh~ I feel gorgeous~" Celtica said with a smile, looking at the fellow mimic next to her. Asia  smiled as well. "Such pretty treasure~" she said lewdly looking towards Celtica. They both looked similar, so it was only natural they would find each other stunning. From there the makeout session the two had was just inevitable. Lisbeth grinned and patted Yuu on the head for a job well done making those dormant mimics. "Another satisfied customer." the Ignis said with a laugh, the two new mimics lost in their own beauty.

BAD END - Mimic

Well, we finally reached our first bad end! There were a couple of factors that led to this, but mostly it was taking long enough that the gorgon was able to prepare an ambush, not getting to take a look deeper in the cave and not asking the right questions. A group of situations that all together led to a failure. I feel like I'm a little at fault though, people saw that write-in part as there being nothing else here when that wasn't what I meant it to imply.

But Celtica's journey doesn't end here of course, we just revert back to a previous point. Where is depending what people want, it could be just back to that last point, or to an earlier one.

I can't think of what else to ask Lisbeth if we restarted from the previous option (and the gorgon is already in position by then), so I have two ideas:

1. Go back to just outside the cave, head to the cry for help instead (choose C instead of B).

2. Go back to right after meeting Lisbeth, send Bullet to scout deeper while Celtica distracts Lisbeth by asking for swords.

Revert to meeting Lisbeth, send a scout.

investigate the woman in distress.

I too would go back to meeting lisbeth and sending bullet to investigate while we tslk about scouts.

I'm going to second meeting Lisbeth, but I'm going to stick with having Lina do recon like I mentioned in a previous choice.

For the people who want to go back to send someone to scout, do you still want to buy the swords from Lisbeth while that person is scouting?

Buying the swords sounds good. There wasn't any indication that they were cursed, just normal magic weapons. So I don't see anything wrong with getting them. That being said, if they are cursed, we'll get another sexy bad end.

Presuming that the scout is going to run into the mimic (don't know what else you'r expecting her to find that would be in any way damning), Lina is the absolutely worse person to send on this mission (on account of her being really, really greedy and all that).
