A! Following the moans should be a rewarding experience.
Also forgot to comment on this, but super YAY for relationship with Celtica and Elphelt! We literally have the best bride! Need to look at that character chat to find out what that dual tech does.

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
Goblin moaning would naturally lead to goblins, and dealing with goblins was the current objective. Nodding at the rest of the party, Celtica had everyone quietly move through the north hallway which led to another room. It seemed like there was an open gate on the east side of the room leading to some stairs, and in the center of the room was a trio of goblin girls staring at something the party couldn't see. They all had rather dazed expressions and were moaning quite consistently.
"I can get them from here." Elphelt said quietly, her gun at the ready. Celtica did wonder why they seemed to be acting so bizarrely though. Perhaps it would be better to try and avoid them for a moment? Getting around them didn't seem like it would be difficult from their expressions.
A. Let Elphelt take the shot.
B. Try and talk to the goblins.
C. Sneak around them to the stairs.
D. Head back and try that other hallway.

Nothing bad can come from talking to those girls.
Not like we would take a look at that dangerous thing they look at!
So B of course.

Really not that interested in getting mobbed or sexed up/converted by gobs (they're just not my thing), so I'm leaning more towards C and D. I'll try C.

Seconding the C. They're too busy right now, and any nearby goblins might notice the sudden lack of moaning.

Agreed. The only decent scenario I can think of off-hand is cursed dominatrix attire, and whomever is cursed by it becomes the Goblin Queen (and that sounds like a familiar scenario. Comic books?), while the rest become masochist slaves (but don't become goblin girls) to her dominance.
I'll go with C as well.

"Goblin Queen" was Madelyne Pryor's alias during the Inferno crossover (and I wouldn't be surprised if "cursed dominatrix attire" is somewhere in the X-Books' history).

Fetishy corruption and mind control stuff? In my Chris Claremont X-Men comics? It's more likely than you think. No seriously holy shit how do you manage to become the most famous and renown writer on that series while also constantly getting to stuff your fetishes in? Truly living the dream.

Lets be sneaky, although we do run the risk of looking at whatever the goblins are looking at. Best hope that doesn't happen!

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
For now it might be best to avoid them and whatever it was that was making them act so strangely. The party crept around the edge of the room to get to the gate and luckily it seemed like none of them had noticed a thing. Looking down, Celtica saw that these stairs went a decent length down.
"Alright, let's keep going." Celtica said as they descended to the dungeon floor. This one was a lot louder and the voices and noises of goblins could be heard once they were halfway down the stairs. As they reached the bottom it only got louder. Elphelt peaked out the door to see a massive amount of goblins partying and having fun, smashing stuff and drinking booze. "I can see more stairs a ways away, but I don't think we're gonna get there silently this time." the bride said.
"Maybe they will be too preoccupied to notice us?" Asia said hopefully. It certainly was possible, goblins weren't very bright. There also might be treasure on this floor, but that would require taking on a lot of goblins most likely.
A. Try and sneak to the next staircase.
B. Rush to the staircase, clearing a path as you move.
C. Try and sneak through the room in hopes of finding treasure.
D. Surprise attack the goblins on this floor.
E. Head back up.

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
*phew* Okay, hard decision time. Sneaking will only get the party so far, and it's highly likely that they'll get spotted if they stick to just sneaking. But I don't think that'll lead to an instant bad end. B seems smarter, but also leaves the possibility of running into a trap. That being said, it's also the easiest option to take to progress. I don't know how coordinated the gobs will be when they're all liquored up, but probably not a whole lot. C is just asking for trouble, and the party can always try to go back for the treasure after taking care of things here. D could go bad due to the noise that would be made, but they'd also take out a lot of the group in here before the gobs could get organized. Then again, we don't know if they have any particular advantage that we haven't seen in their camp. E is just wasting time.
...think I'm going to go with D. While I want to avoid a fight, I don't think the party will be able to maintain their luck in staying undetected much longer, and rushing ahead just screams "headlong into a trap" for me. We have resources to handle a fight and new equipment, so we should be fine attempting a surprise attack.

We've been sneaky so far, lets see if we can keep it up, and just head for the other staircase.

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
Did someone say treasure? C! Could help us out, or curse us in a sexy way, both good options.
And I know a bunch people don't like goblins due to the standard interpretation, small, stocky, big noses and nasty face, me included. BUT maybe we should try to see them in a different look. This is the info we got " Green skin and short bodies, long ears and malicious grins"
And here are some sexy female goblin designs that can fit that

Does this work?

Sorry, those renditions of gobs still don't do it for me. I just don't find gobs, even ones like that, appealing. *shrugs*

That third picture is pretty great. But everyone has their own likes and dislikes, no ones going to like every type of enemy encountered.

Fair enough, just wanted to provide some images to cleanse the soiled palette that goblins usually are. Now let's see, I can finally post properly instead of from a cursor interface with the testuser account... Oh right, nifty that we can get another chance for that cupid Bad End. The mechanic you're talking about sounds like a dream pillow, especially like the one from Raidy II(I think) where you could relive Bad Ends you experienced.

Going for D as well. Let's take advantage of the element of surprise. We can search for treasure afterwards.

Yeah, I figured it would be a good idea to have those extra bad ends since I'm sure everyone will have at least one missed bad end they were curious about.

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
Celtica drew her blade, sooner or later they would have to deal with these things. If they were found out deeper in then the group wouldn't even have an escape route if things went south. "Let's go." she said before taking a quick step out. "Crusader Wave!" she shouted as a slash of light tore through a fairly long table and a group of the drunken goblins. This got the attention of the others, but Celtica's party was ready to go. Asia and Elphelt stayed back, with Elphelt using her guns to fire at a range and take down goblins that were moving at the others as Celtica, Bullet and Lina charged forward.
"Humans!? Get 'em!" one of the goblins shouted and they all started their attack. Some of them remembered to grab weapons, others didn't as they charged. The short green women began jumping at the girls, Bullet easily being able to punch them away with her speed while the sword wielders cut through enemies. Lina spin to slice through a goblin with one hand while launching a fireball into the back with another, blasting some more goblins. Others were smart enough to flee deeper down into the base, likely alerting the others to the invaders. Though Elphelt managed to shoot down a good few of them, some did escape below.
With the strength and numbers Celtica's party had, goblins of this level were nothing. Especially with how unprepared they were. Though noises could be heard from downstairs, it only took a few minutes for the party to clear this floor. Depending on how many were here though exhaustion could become a potential issue.
A. Investigate the room for anything of worth.
B. Prepare for the incoming forces from below.
C. Take the fight to them and charge down the stairs.
D. Fall back and move upstairs.

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
A, they're goblins after all, it will take them a bit to reorganize(unless there is some Goblin Queen) and like I said earlier, anything we can find might help us further down.
I will admit, I am still curious at what was distracting the ones upstairs, and if we could use that to incapacitate a bunch of them, that'ld be swell.

Re: World of Monsters CYOA (Part I)
It would probably be a bit before the goblins would get organized enough to deliver their counterattack. "Everyone, let's see if we can find anything useful over here. Elph, I need you to keep your eyes on the door." Celtica said, and Elphelt gave her a cute salute before getting on with her task.
There was daggers and booze everywhere, the smell was strong enough to almost effect them. "This stuff's made for monsters, probably shouldn't try it." Bullet said. At the end of the hall they were in Celtica noticed that there seemed something off about where Lina had hit with her fireball, and examining it found that there was a hidden compartment. "Looks like even the goblins hadn't found this. Now what's inside?" Celtica wondered, moving some bricks to get at the insides of it.
It looked like a ring, black metal with a lovely red jewel in it. Even just touching it the thing clearly pulse with some kind of power. There were four more rings there, but it looked like they didn't have any jewel nor did they feel anything special. "Here they come!" Elphelt said as she started firing away at the mass of goblins starting to pop out of the gate. "Stupid humans! There are so many of us, you can't win!" they shouted.
As Celtica moved closer and got ready for a battle, she wondered if it might be of use to use this new ring of hers.
A. Just fight the goblins.
B. Put the ring on.
C. Give Elphelt the ring.
D. Give someone else the ring.
