So I've been browsing the Type-Moon wikia since Fate/Grand Order hit, and there is some gooooooooooood stuff, whether it be corruption or charm, so I'm going to be throwing up links and pics of these characters, because hey, I feel like doing a Corruption/Charm database for Fate characters.

Joan Alter(Ruler) Alignment: Chaotic Evil

She is antagonist of France, a corrupted version of Joan created by the Grail, not a true Alter like Alter Saber.  Alter Saber was converted by the black ooze of the corrupted grail which shifted her alignment, while Joan Alter was created by a corrupted wish of wanting to see Joan resurrected and take vengeance for her burning at the stake while "the real Joan" is in the current timeline.  However, she is not a false existence like Assassin from Fate/Stay Night, who was based on fables of several notable swordsmen, rather she is a version of Joan corrupted by the Grail to meet a wish of Gilles De Rais/Caster/Bluebeard from Fate/Zero(however, this isn't maledom as Gilles only wishes to serve her).

She has control over Dragons of all types(which may mean there's some FD/MC with his character)

Saber Lily/Artoria Pendragon(Saber) Alignment: Lawful Good

Damn, that is a sweet looking Carmilla. I wonder what sort of Master she has. Would optimally be female, but suddenly I start imagining that if it were a young enough male (mid-20's or younger), she'd probably force them to cross-dress like a Princess from that era, with a Venetian mask too.

Also, "movie" is referring to Heavens Feel, the final route of Fate/Stay Night; most of these characters didn't even exist when that was a thing, and I would think the only writing differences would be references to ufotable's Fate/Zero.

That's a good question, I'm not sure the enemies have main master(possibly the main antagonist) or if their independent. You can summon them as the male or female protagonist though it seems, probably after you defeat them.

I brought up F/GO on chat yesterday & mentioned the genderswap as well. GGuy123 & DrgnMastrAlex were present for it. 1 of them is a Nasuverse fan but hadn't heard of the game yet.

This 1st link goes to a hub for several guides to help you play F/GO if you can't read Japanese. It also links to an emulator that lets you play it without Android or iOS. The person who posted the thread is Japanese & willing to answer questions in English about F/GO on the thread. A couple of the links available lead to a translation patch for the game that is still a work in progress & a webbased translation of the event scenes in the game to allow reading them like a VN that is also a work in progress.

I've been playing Fate/Grand Order, where this comes from. You can get her in the game's RNG-based gacha, but you need to beat the latest chapter first to unlock her. After that, you have a 3% chance of getting any 4 Star Servant, which is what Tituria (name given to her from the F/GO subreddit) is. Good luck getting her.

That being said, there's some in-universe reasoning why Lancer Alter Arturia is more well-developed; apparently, this version of Arturia never obtained Excalibur, which would have frozen her physical development from prolonged youth, giving us the more flat-chested Arturia that we know. Instead, she got a hold of a legendary lance, and she aged normally.

Anyway, if you do manage to get her in F/GO, you only unlock that appearance after ascending her four times (which is a mechanic that essentially raises a Servant's level cap for each ascension, as well as unlocking extra skills that can be used in combat). So you have to earn this Witchblade-esqe look for Lancer Alter Arturia.

Reasonable if a bit odd. They shouldn't need to remove Caliburn & Avalon from Arturia's personal history to make here a Lancer. She wielded a lance in her legend. It's shown up in a light novel series spin off with Waver Velvet as a primary protagonist in present Nasuverse time.

If anything, this actually raises a question (for canon Nasuverse, not spinoff stuff) on whether the same heroic spirit can be summoned by two different masters as two different classes. Could there be an Arturia Pendragon "Saber" and an Arturia Pendragon "Lancer" at the same time, each with their own separate wills?

But for the most part, I just want to see "Lancer" boasting her fully-realized figure at a humiliated "Saber." >_>

They're not really removing it, so much as exploring an alternate outcome for a character based on the source material.  This creates an alternate legend that creates more lore for the Fate series, as well as creating additional characters with less effort required.  It's essentially AU versions of characters being incorporated and made into canon characters; the best example I've seen in the West was when Marvel brought the Age of Apocalypse versions of Bishop, Beast, and Cable into the restored X-Men timeline, after the first AoA arc in the 90s.

Kind of cheap, but if done right, it creates new stories and interesting interactions that can pull in the viewer/reader.

As for what DoubleEdged mentioned, it's feasible, as long as you either:

1. Have an affinity for, can compliment the strengths and weaknesses of, or share the values of said Heroic Spirit.  Preferably all three.

2. Have a catalyst that is attributed to a particular Heroic Spirit.

So it's possible for such an interaction to happen between the two Arturias (Arturia?  Arturii?).  Seeing Lancer Alter Arturia boast her figure in front of Saber Arturia, however, would likely show up in a joke comic.  And that would be quite likely to happen.

Well that blows my earlier theories out of the water, but in the best way possible.  That's one hell of a corruption, considering Artoria(looks like that's the official way to spell it now according to the Type-Moon wiki, must of happened recently because I remember them using Arturia last time I checked) probably had the same goals even without Caliburn, Excalibur, and Avalon.

That's a very interesting observation. I am also hearing theories that the lance itself might be responsible increasing her bust as well... But I haven't heard anything to back that up. I originally thought the lance might be the corrupting element, but it's a Holy Lance so that shot that down too...

The closest thing I can think of is Fate/Unlimited Codes which is not canon but as close as we are going to get. In Alter Saber's route there is this

After having collected all the Servants within Sakura, she notes that Saber has been draining twice the magical energy from her for some time. Saber is confused, until her original personality manifests itself. She claims that he has not yet rid her self of her old self, and her old self claims that she is what she would have been like on the wrong path. Saber believes that is twisted logic, and asks that even if she were to be defeated would her old self be able to handle that Shirou was killed by her own hands. She tells her old self that she will not remain, that her and her ideals will be given eternal despair.

Saber emerges victorious over her old self, and she tells the King of Knights not to cry, lest even she may tear up. Her old self asks how it could end as such, but she simply says that it is not the end. It had already concluded long ago, all of her prayers and glory vanishing on the hill in Camlann. As her old self fades, Saber tells her to close her eyes before true despair, the birth of Angra Mainyu, presents itself to her. Saber says to sleep soundly, for she is the light inside of her.

However there may be an answer to this in the side materials...

Oh that is coming, possibly from Type-Moon itself considering how Artoria reacts to Nero in their April Fools stuff...  Mysterious "Heroine X" is going to have her work cut out for her



Currently there's very little information about (Alter)Artoria Lancer besides the body speculation... However, looking through her page I might be able to pierce something together.  She doesn't use Rhongomyniad to just kill Mordred, she uses it to kill a dragon as well, her uncle to be precise http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/Vortigern

But it mentions that had dark armor and darkness exuding for him...  A scenario I can work out would be a more battle hardened Artoria kills him and bathes in his blood, thus granting her more corrupting power and possibly fashioning the armor out of his scales.

It would be interesting in Fate/Extella goes down a Heaven's Feel-ish route where you're servant get's corrupted and tries to tempt you to join them forever in the darkness(instead of fighting you to the death).

She made a copy of Brynhildr, so she could have an honest friend of the same sex.

Now, Brynhildr, as the Fate franchise portrays her, laments the fact she inevitably will kill whoever she falls in love with, to the point that her NP gets stronger the more she loves her opponent. Love itself causes her suffering. Jeanne Alter's copy of Brynhildr, as the 'honest friend'? She loves the suffering itself, so she's M for her oneesama.

Jeanne Alter is very okay with this.

Beat me to the explanation (even though I just checked in and your post was some hours ago), since I actually played through that event. Sadly, I could not get Jeanne Alter. But I did roll Tamamo no Mae right at the end. o.o

Hopefully they do another gacha with all the limited time servants (which Jeanne Alter is one), and preferably soon. Like "the first year anniversary of F/GO" soon, which is coming up in a month or two. Going to try and hold onto some cash for if that happens...

Yeah, those commercials are awesome. Not always accurate (Saber Diarmuid appearing in the America chapter trailer and even now not being in the game months later), but awesome. Nitocris (Egyptian girl) and King Hassan (Skull) both look rad, and interested in getting a better look at what might be Lancer Artoria.

Those ad spots are pretty great. Looking forward to when it comes out, which should be around the end of this month. It'll be right around the same time that the game celebrates its first year anniversary, so I'm hoping for a paid quartz guaranteed gacha or something that is a considerable gift to the players.

As for the sexy Egyptian girl, I've heard that it's either Nitocris or Cleopatra. Looking forward to the possibility of a Lancer Artoria as well (still need the Lancer Alter Artoria, tbh).
