Re: What are you watching?
A's movie is really good, I put it on par with the series (which I adore and is one of my favorite parts of Nanoha). Unlike the first movie they do have to cut some stuff to make everything flow in the time they have but the animation quality is a serious step up. Nanoha Vs Reinforce in the movie is phenomenal. So really it depends on if the cut subplot bothers you over the better fight scenes.

And now 2nd Project A's down for the count. I had a very good idea of what you meant by "cut subplot," and I was right on the money; which made me especially curious as to how the final battle would come about, but I guess they presented it well enough. However, I think what bothered me the most about the movie was the reunion and first battle.

Re: What are you watching?
Just cancelled my Netflix subscription. I don't care what other projects they put together with things like the Fate Nasuverse, I'll pirate if I have to; I'm not paying for a political propaganda service, especially one that's raised its prices as much as Netflix has. Started up a Hulu account for the time being, that'll probably allow for a bit more of a selection for the time being.

I assume you're referring to the Obama deal that Netflix made. If so...I'm of the same mind. I can pirate Stranger Things and Fuller House, plus the anime I already watch on free sites, elsewhere.
It's not just with Obama, though. If they did the same thing with the Bushes, the Clintons, or even politicians that I felt actually had my interests in mind, I wouldn't care for it. I have enough of this crap in election commercials and news channels that pretend to be objective but are platforms for the Democratic or Republican parties.
I'll look into Crackle or Amazon Prime TV (probably the latter) for streaming services. Don't want Hulu because I refuse to give Comcast any money through its subsidiaries.

Re: What are you watching?
It's not a matter of them hosting the stuff made in regards to the Obamas, it's them MAKING/PRODUCING the shit; huge difference. I was even able to stick with it after seeing their cowardice when a comedy special they produced tanked (no more rating system), or when hearing about the Susan Rice on BoD deal; but this was the last straw. Also, Obama is the LAST person to be "attempting to heal the political divide," considering he's the one that damaged it to its current state in the first place.
I'm not sure how much I can recommend Amazon TV (but hey, I get it simply because I'm a Prime member as it is, I didn't get the membership for the TV service). They do have some simulcast deals, but a lot of the stuff you see on the catalog isn't actually even on their catalog.
With the start of the Hulu trial, I've been going through Highschool DxD thus far, and I'll probably watch Overlord along with it. Though I guess there's something I never really thought about before when it came to Netflix- commercials. The Hulu subscription I signed up for is $3 less than what I was doing with Netflix, but has commercials. And most of the time, it's for electoral stuff... (School Breakfasts? Is that actually a thing? It sounds more like irrational "feel good" spending/wasting of taxpayer dollars)

Re: What are you watching?
Remember not to get too political on the forum guys, this is a place of pleasures after all, though I can see where you're coming from to be fair.
As for Amazon, they got Made in Abyss, Girl's Last Tour, Princess Principal, Land of the Lustrous, RE:Creators, and the second season of Umaru. Those were some of their big gets if I remember. Made in Abyss is all stars from me =) Girl's Last Tour was great too and really puts you at ease. Need to see Princess Principal but with the amount of yuri fanart and the fact it deals with spys I doubt I will be disappointed.

Re: What are you watching?
So, unlike Netflix, Hulu actually does simulcasting. So I actually got to watch something that hasn't even finished its cour in Japan yet. And that something is SAO Alternative: GGO.
Believe it or not... it's actually genuinely entertaining. The only thing that's actually seen as serious drama is someone's self-destructive insanity. Besides that one factor, this isn't some screwed up Mary Sue fantasy played up to the nines for super serious drama, it's actually fun, mostly just trying to let a game be a game (other than one crazy person being self destructive).

I saw Incredibles 2, that movie is really great. The first is one of my all time favorite movies and this one is near the quality of the first. I had a few issues, mainly Mr. Incredible feeling super nerfed and Dash not really having much to do, but it was still so good. And relevant to the interests of some people here, myself included.

Re: What are you watching?
So with Fate/Extra Last Encore out on Netflix I decided to give the dub a try. It's pretty good for the most part, with special shoutouts to Shinji being fucking fantastic, though I wish I could say the same about Drake. Cassandra Lee Morris as Nero is pretty lovely too. Seven episodes in and I'm liking it quite a bit. One of the fights was complete nonsense but I can't say I'm not interested in this madness. It's like some sort of pseudo-sequel to an altered Extra's non-existent bad end if that makes any sense. Some fun cameos too. Fight animation could be better but it's style is through the roof at times to offset that a bit.
Edit: And the last few episodes available finished. The fight scenes are a mess but I think I like it overall more than the UBW anime. Holy shit do you really need to have played Extra to get this though.

Re: What are you watching?
Continuing my Shaft binge, I finished Bakemonogatari and started Nisemonogatari. This series is really good and both Kanbaru and Senjougahara are fantastic. The progatonist is a lot of fun too. Reminds me a bit of Durarara where it's just a bunch of characters not doing anything besides interacting but they are such good characters that I love it.
