I actually remember the plot for this getting on the internet years ago, originally it was planned to be a series of animated movies and these four episodes they are making right now are basically the first movie cut up. To put it in perspective how long it's been, back when it first started Igarashi was involved. I'm pretty sure at least the first movie was planned basically to be a direct streamlined Castlevania 3 (Or at least part of it, I don't think they reach the castle yet) but minus Grant. That said, Succubus is the kind of enemy you could sneak in basically anywhere if they wanted to.

Huh, informative =)  The artstyle had me worried at first, like it was going to be Lord of Shadows instead of regular Castlevania.  

Also, not worth much of a sighting, but in Twin Angel Break ep 4, main villainess Mary


Defeats the Tuxedo mask of this series and then is shown to prepare to brainwash him with standard hypnosis.  However it's not shown, just the results of the brainwashing when he's serving her.  As for Mary herself, she's a fun villainess, sexy outfit, random english in her sentences, flirty(usually charming the teacher(male) to allow the girls to have fun), and focus on maintaining her beauty.

FINALLY. Of course I'll have to wait until the home release to see it, but I am so happy that after so long this movie is finally going to exist.

I was tempted to post something about that with the latest trailer, after all, it's going a lot deeper into making Gears of Destiny (the PSP game) canon, so much so that it's going and making even the Materials canon.

Material-D, Lord Dearche- psychotic narcissist Hayate

Though I'm pretty sure this movie won't be including the "other time distortions" from GoD, like Vivio & Einhart, or the Force characters; probably won't use the ghost fragments part of the plot (which included Linith and Precia).

Maybe I ought to find the first two movies sometime. I do wish they were able to get releases over here though.

Yeah, I'm very curious to see how similar/different it is to Gears of Destiny since Nanoha gets her Forces gear here. Always down to see the Materials in more though, they are great. The two movies based on the original and A's are also really good if you haven't seen them. 1st is straight up better than the original, while 2nd is great but cuts down on some plot stuff like the masked man plotline for the sake of time. The action is really good though, Nanoha Vs Reinforce in the movie is fantastic.

In a sudden appearance that no one knew about, Little Witch Academia (1-13) showed up on Netflix, already with English dub.

And in other announcements, I didn't really watch this series, but some may have: Flip Flappers is coming to the States.
But it's Sentai. There's a point where I don't argue watching English dubs; Sentai is pretty much on the line; they don't really get much acting talent.
They're also doing Squidgirl season 2, no idea if they'll get the season 1 cast or not.

It's a real pity Funi didn't pick back up with Symphogear, because it keeps getting more awesome and introducing new sexy characters, we're on season 4 now and I wish I had a good means to watch it because last season had mannequins as enemies. It feels like a ridiculous and over dramatic rip off of Nanoha, and I mean that in the best way(One of it's voice actresses is even Nana Mazuki(Fate)). This seasons enemies/fetish is men who were gender swapped into women and became better people as a result.

Symphogear is amazing, it's definitely following the tend of Nanoha in being super robot nonsense but with cute lesbians instead of robots. I watched the first episode of the new season raw and as always it's starting off super strong. Hopefully Crunchyroll continues to sub it, last season they waited until three episodes had aired before announcing their subbing plans. The first three seasons should all be up on Crunchyroll still though.

Netflix Castlevania series is great, way more violent than I was expecting too. My only problem is how little of it there is, season 2 can't come soon enough.

Only 4 episodes in the first batch, right? I gotta say, I'm actually impressed with the first episode, it certainly stays in line with SotN's reasoning behind Dracula's hatred.

Also, i've been watching one curious YouTuber: Ai Kizuna, of A.I.Channel/A.I.Games.

So, I "finished" Little Witch Academia "season 1" and was hella confused. Like, badly, because the anime "ended" with the most mysterious and anticlimactic bullshit ever and I wasn't understanding how Akko X Diana was more popular than Akko x Sucy... And there was even a popular pairing with a character that doesn't appear! So I try to find mention of a season 2, and I only find one article on a site called the Christian Post... But then I read this(from a site that I loathe no less)...

God damn I love Symphogear so much. It's got so much stuff I love, cute lesbians doing cool things, singing while fighting, super robot style dumb awesomeness, it's so great. I'm really glad it's been successful enough to have a fifth season already announced. Have a pirate Fine, because of course she was a pirate at one point.

This feels me with a uncomfortable amount of dread... Like... I know it wasn't the best movie, and it had some missteps... But, hmmmmmmmmm... The problem with prometheus(besides a bunch of little gripping stuff) was that is was too different from Alien and pulled some last minute connections... So Covenant came in with that baggage and tried to go half and half, which sorta worked but left way too many questions about what happened between the two(especially with David) and a twist you could see coming from a mile away that had a odd reveal... but the very last bit was still interesting.... But damnit, Ridley Scott had to come back and fuck up Neil Blomkamp's Alien 5 which is what I was really looking forward to... and now we're just kinda stuck here... I want to see another ALIENS(emphasis on the S) movie! A cool action horror with more nifty designed xenomorphs. I mean, I actually really find the stuff with David to be super interesting too, but too much was left out or shoehorned in... and... uuugggggggh... Now we might not even get a chance for that, and if we do it will be at a highly reduced budget probably... UGGGGH HOLLYWOOD!

Well, just watched the second Konosuba OVA, which I found quite amusing, but was disappointed by one thing.

Have you checked to see if the light novel series has anything relevant in it that anime and manga adaptations haven't caught up to yet?

P5 anime has been announced. A-1 studios, the same people that did the Daybreakers OVA. A lot of people tend to not like A-1.

Whatever. As long as they get some really good angles on Panther and Queen, as well as the Shadow that rules the Casino, I'm definitely interested.

I'll be watching anyway. Also, A-1 is sort of lacking, but they seem to be doing an okay enough job with Fate/Apocrypha. If they approach P5 like they've done with Apocrypha, I'll be good.

Sorta, I mostly look to see if anything with official light novel art is relevant. I thought there might be something with the mask, but was disappointed after I did some digging. We might see a return to the succubus brothel, and there is another big succubus by the name of Arnes, but she's in the spinoff light novel about Megumin... I don't want to dig too deep and risk being spoiled... Though I do wish there were some scans for the manga when it gets to the succubus brothel.

Was watching Twitch's anime marathon a lot this weekend while dogsitting, so I got to see a lot of shows. Some I probably wouldn't have watched without the marathon, but I'm glad I did. Mob Psycho 100 was fantastic, Yuri on Ice was quite good and had an amazing soundtrack, Tanya the Evil and Rokka no Yuusha were a lot of fun, and then I didn't think it was super good but I found myself enjoying Gabriel Dropout a fair bit since the characters were really fun. Also saw some of New Game which was cute, Sound Euphonium which was ok, and some Akashic Record Bastard Teacher show which wasn't very good. Overall just a lot of fun.

Saw the Netflix Death Note movie. Hilarious if you love B movie cheesiness, but in terms of actual quality it falls flat as an adaption and it's own thing. Some pretty stupid characters and they break rules that they establish in the film with the Death Note, but Willem Dafoe as Ryuk is fantastic and this version of L, while not always accurate, is pretty fun in his own way. Great for hanging out with friends and laughing at how dumb it can be.

I had watched the first Berserk: The Golden Age movie quite a while ago. Apparently the second and third movies were put up on Netflix, I'm guessing somewhat recently. Now, I know Miura uses a lot of extremely sexual imagery at times... but damn, these movies got damn near pornographic (and I now have to wonder how old Princess Charlotte was in Part 2). Still, I liked this trilogy, and wish the people who made the recent post-Eclipse series could've put this kind of effort into it. Say what you will about the recent 3D-ish trend, I thought it looked decent for the movies. Then I see the "Guts walks away angrily" gif...

Also happy to hear the reprised voices for most of the main cast in English, despite the fact that I've never actually seen the old anime, minus the outtake reels.
