True, tis something that haunts me to this day, but hey, new game, new mechanics, and I somehow doubt it will tied to Extra/CCC enough to prevent new people from going in. This is true.  Add to that the fact that the PSP sold poorly in Western markets, and Fate/Extra not selling much because of that.  Vita is suffering from a similar curse, unfortunately.

Glad I managed to get a barely used Vita, since it's a massive pain to even find new units and games being sold outside of Gamestop.

Anyway, on the topic of Excella: from what I've seen on the Fate/Grand Order subreddit (before they created a separate subreddit for Excella), the story is different from Extra and Extra CCC. Only musou games that I've played were Senran Kagura Burst and Shinovi Versus, so I'm willing to expand my exposure to more musou games if it means I can play with Tamamo. :3

Played a good amount of Estival Versus today/tonight, actually getting some characters up to 20+ in levels(which their stories are quite useful for). I did Ikaruga's story which netted me a bunch of lovely mask(and also a killer story that I'll spoil later, Katsuragi's story which gave her a huge leap in character development imo =) , and Shiki's story, which actually touched me a bit and showed her relationship with Mirai.  Also gave Haruka a little makeover, not much, but just a nice touch here and there.  As for the story, I just finished up the fourth day, which was MY FAVORITE DAY(Mirai, Murasaki, Hibari, Haruka, Yagyuu, and Hibari again).  Such nice lighthearted fun in the first half, and then freaking Haruka just melts my mind in the second half.

I'm curious whether Princess Hilda is the 1 of the new dlc characters that will be released with the Link Between Worlds pack.

Day 5 complete, I made the mistake of doing Yozakura story to get it out of the way...  It was a real slug because her fighting style isn't combo friendly at first, having to do her stance after each attack and not having any launching attacks in her early levels.  Also her story sucks because she goes around punishing people for eating junk food... They take her "motherly" vibe way too far, and not in the good way.  I did play through Homura's and Murasaki's earlier though, those were fun.

Another day, another thing of self-censoring it seems... There's this big thing about a victory pose of Tracer from Overwatch being replaced because she showed off her clothed butt and a "concerned parent" made a comment... ...  ...

Yeah, Murasaki's was great, though my favorite will be Katsuragi's for yuri reasons. Speaking of Miyabi, I did hers last night, was amusing but the lead ninja seem to get shafted for story so far. But that pic at the end, I WANT THAT HAIR FOR HER! I knew it was farfetched to get it after beating it, but damn! That would put Imu in her grave. Speaking of Imu, did her story mode, oh I loved it and her, that ending was almost heartwarming, but close enough =) I also did "Asuka's"... That was unfortunate... Hanzo is a super creep sometimes and Asuka is too nice to him, even if he is her grandfather.

Ayane only gets a bundle with her own stuff. The character, and two additional costumes, $8 buying each individually, or $6 for the bundle. I think Naraku and Kagura have a character duo pack if you don't want the costumes in their mega-bundle. I'm pretty sure there was a special mission pack that came at the same time as Ayame, don't remember how many different bundles there were for that week besides the mega-bundle. Huh, well this is annoying.  All the newest stuff(Ayane and up) is in the Add-ons section, but not on the games page.  So if you go to the game's store page through the PSN or the Ayame's shop you wouldn't know that stuff is out yet.  That's a bummer.  Not that it matters much for me since my card and PSN do not like to cooperate.  On the bright side there is this though.

I talked about this in my thread, but remember how I said I wanted more time with Estival Versus...  Well, I got my wish.  I had a stomach ache(a new type if you can believe it) which only gave me four hours of sleep, so I had to call off work and got some more game time in.  Played Renka's story, she's fun, I like her.  Also played Yumi's, which was okay I guess... but really cements what she is. A "waifu". Out of the four leaders she's the only one with no strong emotional attachments to anyone besides her granddad...  Homura and Asuka are close(so much that the games tease them about it), and Miyabi has Imu lusting after her. I almost want to say all of Gessen feels like that with it's lack of any yuri subtext...  But that's probably just me.

I also played Mirai's, and cried at the end.

On, and I got PS+ now so, profit?


Edit: Oh, and there's a strong wind rumbling about the new Zelda, like being able to choose Link's gender, seems like everyone seems to be saying that rumor is highly likely along with the game getting voice acting, for everyone but Link. I'm okay with this, since all the other characters had babble worlds for a while now, and Midna and Fi basically speak. The 3rd is the thing that's no surprise, it will be on the Wii U and the NX.

NICE."(and then right after that getting a piece of equipment titled V-Dural Impersonation Set) , and some support conversation between Morrigan and Aty about having fun in bed together.

Dark Souls 3, after so much goddamn searching (and eventually trying something that I should've done a long time ago, based on what was clearly a pre-programmed soapstone message), I've found most of what I've been looking for (there was one more thing I had to spoil myself for to get a location, unfortunately). I think I'm well on track to having fully completed everything at this point, all bosses (minus those still in my current path) taken down, though I guess I'm probably still missing two or three factions.

I guess I'm going to be pouring my effort into getting the PS3 controller working with the PC so I can taste the Melty Blood today, though I'll probably get some more Senran Kagura in. Wish me luck~

Nice to see more on P5, it's been pretty quiet recently. 313 hours... that really makes it seem like it's a long way away, but it's around 2 weeks... I guess it depends on which way you look at it.

There's an Alpha demo out for Team Ninja's Ni-oh. And currently, it's pretty much just what people called it during its unveiling:
Samurai Witcher Souls.

REALLY unforgiving here. Don't get too used to the weapons you're using, because unless you somehow find a way to get lots of Whetstones, they're going to break on you sooner or later.
Anyways, I hear if you manage to clear the demo (you only have a limited time), you'll unlock a bonus in the full game.

Also, Golden Week sale on PSN. Lots of Japanese games heavily reduced in price (especially for Plus members). Games like Deception: Nightmare Princess and Samurai Warriors 4-II reduced by 50%.

Beat Nioh demo in one go. I guess it's my first real foray into a Soul-ish game, but then again it's a familiar feeling because old Nintendo games. It was a uphill struggle until I started to get loads of drops, which happened around the time I got lucky and got a ax from those hillside zombie. Unlike the katana(which breaks like a damn fiddle), the axe and spear actually have a good amount of durability. Of course the katana drop a hell of a lot more often, so that's there plus. Once I hit the village though I was good on whetstones and the armor repairer. The little blessing that you got from the shrines helped too. The bow and arrow also helped out a lot in the early portion because no one has helmets, so it's a good way to farm spirits. I will say it's actually found it fun, knowing each encounter could easily lead to death, and desperately searching for shortcuts back to the shrines. The stance system is interesting, and giving your extra items in exchange for useable items(like elixirs) is a nice touch. I will say I did have a tough time with anyone fully decked out in armor, and those way too jumpy for their size sword demons. The axe demons were a fun fight though. However I did do some "accidental" training with the grudges in the first area which taught me some stuff, so that was nice. Also, leveling system was surprisingly simple(in a good way) and had lots of options(also in a good way).

Oh man, that Double Kodachi demon at the second shrine was a goddamn nightmare. I'm hoping I don't have to fight another one in the demo (the big hidden yokai don't respawn like everything else). I think I'm almost at the final area of the demo. Really been taking it slow.

Looking at weapons a bit more closely, they seem to be on a typical ranking system like you'd find in Diablo. Common/Uncommon/Rare/Unique, or something like that. I'm also probably going to assume that Ni-oh will follow a Diablo-like weapon scaling progression, where weapons of higher quality drop further down the line, unlike Souls, where literally most of the weapons have their own unique properties and are usable depending on your style.

EDIT: Finally beat it myself last night. Those bad camera angles can be a real killer at times; something they really need to work on for the final product. I don't know how many times I lose sight of a guy I want to target despite him being IN FRONT OF ME. And a boss battle against a rather large opponent in such a small space? Whose bright idea was that?

Oh crap, I'll probably have to re-download Nioh. Apparently there was a second mission that I didn't take notice of, so there's probably another bonus yet for me to claim.

Yeah, pretty sure about that. I got a better version of the axe I use with a different pattern on it and name right before I tackled the boss.  That 360 attack of his is no fun.  I only figured out near the end that the second swing has a much larger radius.

With the Golden Week sale wrapping up I managed to get Digimon Cybersleuth for the PS4, and Kindred Spirits on the Roof as well as A Kiss for the Petals-Remembering how we met for Steam.  

Something that wasn't on sale that I plan to get is Nights of Azure(aka Land of no night aka that yuri PS4 game with the gorgeous art), but the place I went to only had the display copy with that shitty sticker so I forwent it for now...

Now just to find time to play them, and to decide what order...

My thumbs are sore...  it took all day, but I did it...  It would of been nicer if they didn't put that damn shambler right next to the boss door and everybody just followed me in.  Nue wasn't that hard, it had a safe pattern that just took some trail and error...  But the run to it was GODDAMN ANNOYING.  Say what you will about fog doors, but at least minions don't follow you into the boss room.

Oh, something I forgot to mention about PXZ2, I told you how Aty summons Felecia... But Sheath tries to one up her and accidentally summons Saya(who takes it in stride), but also Xiaomu(heroine fox girl) who was just a few feet away...

I unfortunately had to run the area twice because of my mishap with that branch item that takes you to the map. Unlike Souls games, EVERYTHING resets when you leave an area here, because it's looking like it's mission-based, where you pick an area on the map and you're immediately taken there, and you can't leave unless you use an item or complete the mission.

SEVERELY underestimated both Katana and Low Stance. That must've been what I saw when I watched a video of what I described as "a guy playing Nioh like it's DMC." Lots of fast, low-damage strikes and very nice dodging techniques.

Now, to the real news... PERSONA 5

- The Graceful Fencer
- The Black Knight (More of a biker than the Death Biker Bro?)
Artwork also shows another male character, don't know his theme yet, but that brings the main cast to 4 males, 4 females, 1 mascot.

Still looking a lot more like turning real people in the real world into demons, and I'm still wondering if that'll also happen to the main cast before they become Persona users.

Same.  Low stances seem to be where the quick dashy gameplay is, it's what I used to defeat Nioh(though with the axe), just go in there when it's doing it's lightning cannon and bam, stun state.

Quite a line up of ladies, each one pretty damn sexy in their own way, but man does it feel like that the hikikomori hacker(Sakura Futaba) has the advantage in the waifu wars...  Still, they're all pretty amazing.  The black knight/student president appears super kickass.  She seems like she might be going through something before her persona manifestation(yellow eyes).  Oh and the Graceful Fencer is so debonair~, gotta love that finisher of hers.  Of course Ann is still kicking it with her sexy catsuit =)

I wonder if we'll get some subtext yuri like we did in 3&4...  It feels like too much to ask for full on lesbian character, though the Graceful Fencer could certainly fill that roll...  Anyway, enough of my yuri rambling.

Lot's of sexual imagery, always lovely, hope that turns out a boss like Shadow Rise.  Also, there's something about a anime that will be a prequel to one of the sub episode in the game...  Hope they handle it well
