Very true with Tamamo. I think in this new event that they even mention that Tamamo has the potential to become an Alter Ego. But imagining them transformed into brand new Alter Egos, fetishy and a mix of Sakura traits and their own old stuff but totally loyal to BB.

Visor and bodysuit are a great outfit for an obedient drone, and imagining them reprogrammed into obedient and then being used as tools to control their Master is fantastic. The outfit could even be styled to look reminiscent of the generic enemies you fight in Extra with all the digital line stuff. We should definitely talk Fate ideas more often since we both really like the series and you have some super sexy ideas for it.

I think the data compression is actually a one of the Bad Ends in CCC if you lose to her, unfortunately I've lost the source to confirm that.

But yeah, I could see luring you and your servant in with her cute allure, maybe enticing you with a puff puff(using her elbows to generate the effect). Or maybe she could sneak up to you with her presence concealment stat and hypnotize you with *puff *puff* sounds, or glomp you as she coos about how long she's waited for this moment as your mind is numbed by her enveloping breasts while your body erupts in pleasure... From there BB can alter your data and turn you into a reward for Passionlip, infusing you with data of lovestruck girls, or maybe she won't need to after what you've been through... or even still some of her data could be corrupting your causing your tits to swell as you become shy and lovestruck for Passionlip... As for an outfit of the converted, a sling bikini covering a nylon bodysuit(to match her "censored" new look in grand order, which I am too minds about because of my love for nylon bodysuits), and you become enamored with worshipping her breasts, kissing, sucking, and most importantly, massaging with your hands since your love can't...

She also has this skill that sounds like it would turn any sadist into a submissive lover

Also the servant repurposing in Fate/Extra is pretty grand too, regular nurse Sakura would be a good agitant to carry that out on the servant before they carry it out on the master, or the use of another servant like Mata Hari or Carmilla to start the process.

Mmmmph, a lovely nylon bodysuit and sling bikini appearing on the victim as they reform out of Passionlip's breasts, their mind and proportions being made much like the girl's own. There are definitely some servants I would love to see get this fate. Artoria especially, her breasts going from normal to beyond even her Lancer versions as she becomes Passionlip's submissive lover and breast worshiper~

Edit: Oh, I almost forgot about something that Passionlip wore in this event that would be perfect for someone enslaved by her power~


And another thing, we have the class card for Alter Egos now and I think a look based on that could be great for someone getting Alter Egofied by BB.

Both are good ideas, but I'm definitely more partial to the body suit/sling bikini w/ body modifications idea. :3

Yeah it isn't a shop, I don't have a picture but they even bothered to edit her sprite in the accompanying boss fight to wear the blindfold as well. I also really love that Alter Ego card, Nasuverse is lacking in clown girls (Well, non-cannibal clown girls) and I love the idea of one of the many high rank ladies like say an emperor or a king turned into a lowly jester.

So, I'm still waiting on word for the next chapter of EoR and the 2017 summer event. Still nothing on that, even though we're closing in on June and I anticipated that the next EoR chapter would take place right around now or in a week or two.

However, I do have an update: there's a 9 million download campaign going on at the moment, went live yesterday.

-You can log in 9 consecutive days during May 25th JST and June 3rd JST for rewards. These include 9 million QP, 90k FP, and tickets for each day, as well as other rewards.

-Daily log-in reward change from Void Dust to Chains. (While I could've used Dragon Fangs or Cursed Bones more, this is a welcome change. It's ridiculously easy to get Void Dust during class daily missions, so between that and Dust being handed out I've got close to 200 of the damn material...)

-Double chance of Great Success and Super Success exp boosts for leveling Servants and CEs. Goes from May 24th to June 7th.

-Double FP gain from using Friend Support and having your supports used by a friend, from May 24th to June 2nd.

-Half AP for Strengthening Quests, from May 24th to June 2nd.

New round of hunting quests. For those not familiar or who don't know what these refer to, they're repeatable quests that give out Mana Prisms upon first completion, and there are three nodes. First node is level 50, second is level 75, and final is level 90, so these are for players who are higher level and have strong servants. You have a higher chance of getting material drops from enemies in these nodes, and you're guaranteed gold EXP cards for the classes of the enemies that you slay. They're also good places to grind for Bond Points at the 75 and 90 nodes.

New Strengthening quests are also coming, starting today, but DelightWorks dun goofed in trying to hide who is getting them before their reveal. Billy the Kid, Sanson, Astolfo, Medb, Siegfried, Hassan of Serenity, and Boudica are all getting upgrades. Sadly, the datamine shows that Boudica still sucks. But I am looking forward to what improvements Astolfo, Medb, and Serenity are going to get, especially if what Astolfo gets makes him actually playable.

New Interludes as well! Four servants are getting special treatment, namely Brynhildr (holy crap), Vlad III, Helena (who's just getting a damage boost to her Arts NP from 500% to 600%), and...JEANNE?

............SSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAAANCTUARYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! ...*ahem* Sorry. Got excited for a moment there. But yeah, now Jeanne vanilla doesn't have her self-stun and her NP does debuff cleanse, meaning that, while she's more viable in a niche role as a status cleanser and buffer with her NP, she's actually viable for her NP again. Sadly, her active skills still need serious work. But this is a step in the right direction, making her a viable tank again (except against Avengers). ^^

Finally, we do have a rate-up gacha for a number of popular divine servants. Making her third appearance for a rate-up, Ishtar is back, and we've also got Quetzalcoatl and Orion rounding out the 5 star offerings. Medusa Lily, Stheno, and Gorgon make up the 4 stars, while for the 3 stars we have Euryale, Jaguar Man, and Medusa, as well as a few new 3 star CEs. I'll be honest, I am going to roll in this gacha for a little bit, mainly because I'd be up for getting Quetz and Gorgon, but I won't turn away an NP2 Ishtar or getting Orion or Medusa Lily.

Didn't save up much for the 2016 Summer event, and the only limited servant I wanted in that was Tamamo Lancer, though I do regret not trying for Ruler Martha a bit more than I could have. I don't see much attracting me for the Summer 2017 event, unless there's actually a Swimsuit variant of Jeanne Alter or Nero. But I doubt that's going to come out so soon, more likely that particular event will be out in July.

Details:

-Those who have cleared the Final Singularity will get to undertake a challenge quest after clearing the main quests of this event. Prize is 1 ticket.
-The rerun is a "short" version.
-A new difficulty added between what used to be 3BP and 2BP.
-Like with Onigashima, a team wipe will still get you proportionate DP rewards. But you get nothing if you retreat.
-Ibaraki and Shuten are on rate-up in the gacha.

Like the original event, you can earn mats, CEs, Fous/Exp cards, mana prisms, and QP for reaching certain milestones for collecting DP and for trading in gourds to the event shop.

And now for an update that is unusual, but actually welcome:

Servants can be Fou'ed up to a max of 2000.  For those who don't know, there's two kinds of cards you can use on your servants to strengthen them: Exp cards, which increases their level and stats accordingly, and Fou cards, which simply increase their stats beyond what they would get from leveling up, but only up to a max of 990 points for both HP and Attack.  Now that limit can be broken, and you can feed a servant Fou cards to raise their stats 2000 points beyond what they get from leveling.

After the coming maintenance on May 31st (so in several hours), the initial cap will be raised from 990 to 1000.  Every servant you have that has their HP or Attack at 990 after the maintenance will have you receive one 1 star Fou of that corresponding category to feed to your servants to hit the first cap of 1000.  Once a servant hits the first 1000 cap, the hard cap of 2000 is unlocked.

4 star Fou cards are also going to be introduced along with this re-run event, and you can get them as DP rewards (probably DW giving incentive so that players who wouldn't desire to participate would join in).  Chances are that we'll see them as event rewards in the future as well.  These 4 star Fou cards can only be used on servants who have hit the 1000 soft cap.  3 star Fou cards cannot be used on servants after hitting the 1000 soft cap (so 1001-2000 range).  If a 2 or 3 star Fou card would provide an excess past the 1000 soft cap, the extra points are lost.

An Ibaraki interlude is also available, though it only gives a quartz and doesn't improve any of her traits.

...and that's about it.  I'm sort of disappointed, but at least we're being given another option to power up servants further.  We've got Grail Ascension, and now this.  Should be pretty interesting to see what comes of it.

Edit: Putting in additional information for the event and the 4 star Fou cards. Shuten Douji is also having a rate-up (I'll definitely be trying for her), and the 4 star Fou cards increase Attack and HP by +20 for each respective Fou card. ...which kind of stinks....

Ah, I remember the good old days of everyone believing beating the raid would give everyone Ibaraki. Good times. Also those 4 star Fous only give 20 to a stat, which means you need fucking 50 to get to the full 2000. They really love making awful ways of getting stronger.

Edit: Nevermind got Shuten this event is 10/10 would roll again.

Yeah, trying to get Shuten myself. I really could use a 5 star Assassin, and Shuten would be a good addition to the Arts meta team I've been running, not to mention her kit being really good besides.

Minor update: there's a Shinjuku gacha rerun that starts today (running from June 7th JST to June 21st JST). Moriarty, Shinjuku Assassin (forgot his name. >.o) and Hessian Lobo will all get rate-ups. 1/2 AP cost for all Shinjuku story mission nodes during this period as well.

Methinks we're going to get EoR Chapter 2 soon. About damn time. Save your quartz, something big is around the corner.

June 25th confirmed for the release date of Grand Order in America and Canada. I'll probably write up a guide on what servants are and aren't good from the initial batch before that point in case anyone here wants to get in on the game that hasn't already.

Wow, didn't even hear anything about this yet, and I've been checking the F/GO reddit too. This is a lot sooner than I thought it would come out!

.........Onigashima re-run event.........

......I suppose that DW decided that newer players could use probably the best free 4 star, Rider Kintoki.  But I'm pissed off right now.  Two re-run events back-to-back, especially when EoR chapter 2 was slated to take place right around this time.

..........I'm really tempted to not participate because of this lazy bullshit..... Moon Festival rerun, Dantes rerun, Valentine's rerun (which was comboed and mixed with Valentine's 2017 into one event, so it's not too bad), GudaGuda rerun (which was fine, as many players hadn't gotten Nobu and it was requested, plus it was followed up with GudaGuda Meiji, a sequel event that was hinted at during the Kara no Kyokai collab), Rashoumon (which no one requested), and now this.  That's six rerun events in the first half of this year, while we've only had the GudaGuda Meiji and CCC Collab events as new content, not including the first chapter of EoR (which, I might add, DW stated that they wanted to release all of them in the span of a year.  Chapter 1 came out in mid-February, so it's been almost four months since then.  If they wanted to stick to that schedule, they should've released chapter 2 already, not drop Rashoumon and Onigashima on us.).  And we still have the summer event (which may or may not have a rerun), as well as Halloween 2017 and Christmas 2017 (which will undoubtedly have reruns for the 2016 events), not to mention rumors of a possible Apocrypha collab event.  And in between all that, there's still the chance that we'll have another rerun dropped during this year.  

That makes it at least nine rerun events, five new content events, and then story content. Seeing the way DW is setting everything up makes no sense from the standpoint of their statements at the beginning of this year, nor as a means of maintaining a reasonable workload that can also be highly profitable. I'm just not happy with this bullshit, as it comes off to me as laziness because DW sees a means of getting more money from recycling content for newer players while offering slight bonuses to tide over older players until they deem it appropriate to put out new content.

I'm not going to go over the details for this event this time. Zero, if you want, feel free to, but Onigashima could've been held off another month. This just feels like DW is padding everything along for whatever reason, and I don't appreciate it. So in the spirit of frustration, I'm just going to give the middle finger to DW for this time and leave it there.

I for one am shocked that Delight Works would stall with another rerun. It's really hard to make new content after all, they need to figure out how to best manipulate people into giving them money and that can take long hard nights of coming up with plans. But seriously, I'm so used to this it doesn't phase me. I don't have Rider Kintoki anyways since that was during the death of emulators so it's just more time to save my quartz. I just realized the English version might release before we get actual new content.

Okay, got over my anger about EoR Agartha (which is what is believed to be the name for Chapter 2) not getting released this month.  I'll be taking advantage of Onigashima, if only to get a second Limit Broken Golden Sumo CE, materials, and tickets.  The unfortunate thing about some of the tickets though is that you don't start getting them in the DP rewards until well after 100 million points of damage, while only six are given after clearing the "story" bosses when you deplete their raid HP (I think there's about five or six tickets offered in the DP rewards).  And DP rewards go all the way up to 300 million.  >.o  Thankfully after 200 million it's just big chunks of QP for those who want to dps like mad and get something out of it.  Did 21 million damage at this point in time after running the 3 million HP Green Oni run some, and I'll do some more later (letting my AP recharge a bit before I do other nodes to get the Quick beans).

Not going to roll in the event gacha, though.  As much as I like Raikou, I've got others on my friends' list that have her set up for others to use, so it's not like I can't use her when I need her.  And I'm not desperate to get her either, unlike Jeanne Alter, Okita, or even Shuten.  So I'm saving my quartz and tickets for what might come in EoR Agartha, and if what I see doesn't impress me, then I'll save that for the summer event.

Got 68 quartz and 5 tickets right now (hit my 550th consecutive log-in a few days ago and got 20 quartz, and then there was the 10 quartz given out to everyone for completing the Rashoumon rerun event.  Chances are that DW might give out another 10 quartz for completing Onigashima rerun as well.  We'll see.

Meh, I think we're going to have to come to terms with something. A dub cast for the F/GO OVA was announced.

She was Artoria in Extella. And Arturia in the Fate/Zero dub. They literally change their minds on her name every adaption.

New update from DW for what to expect in late June through July:

1. EoR chapter 2: Agartha release (finally)

2. EXTRA class slot for support. So now you'll be able to set Mashu, BB, or any Ruler, Alter Ego, or Avenger, in addition to the other seven classes and the All slot for what servants you'll offer as support.

3. Limit Break status for CEs can be inherited if they're the same CE.

4. 4 star Fou attack and HP cards can be exchanged. ...for Rare Prisms. So I hope you've gotten some gold servants that you don't want or that you keep getting spooked by...

Really wish the 4 star Fou cards would be available with mana prisms, perhaps just at a higher cost than the 3 star Fou cards. This really makes it difficult to max out the stats of a servant. As for the CE stuff, prior to this, mixing different limit broken levels of CEs wouldn't give you a fully limit broken CE. Now it will.

The EXTRA slot for supports is great stuff, and makes sense after the two new classes that were dropped with CCC collab. And we're finally getting Agartha, though I'm anticipating early July for the actual release. ...which means I'll be playing through Agartha as I'm working through the first chapters in the NA version of F/GO.

T-minus 8 days and counting...

So, a question to the people more familiar with this game: how viable is it to play free?

I mean, I've been playing Fire Emblem Heroes since its debut, getting the daily orbs and everything, and have lucked into a few 5* and 4* heroes and promoted others. The RNG has also given me many repeats, and I probably might have more 5*'s if I had put in the money to summon more often, but I can handle the challenges the game throws at me as is.

Is FGO like that, or does it expect the player to throw more money to be good at it?

Free player here, I can answer this. It is extremely viable to play free. Unlike Heroes 3 star units can actually be perfectly viable even in some of the tougher content. The Gacha RNG is really bad but they give out enough decent free servants. If you want to reroll you can also just reroll until you get Hercules or Waver and those two are good enough to carry you easily even if you get subpar rolls.

Pretty much what Zero has covered.  3 stars are viable even into level 90 battles as long as you're smart with their abilities and have craft essences equipped to them that bring out their strengths.  Having an idea for what your team is going to do to win is also helpful in this regard.

The rates themselves can be pretty harsh, though, but not as bad as other mobile games can be *cough*granblue*cough*.  1% to roll any available 5 star, 3% for any 4 star, 9% for any 5 star craft essence, and 11 or 13% for any 4 star craft essence.  There are also multiple gachas, usually at least two at any one time.

First gachas is the cheapest, in that it doesn't require spending money at all, but points accumulated from you using other players' support servants or from them using your own servants that you've set up as supports.  This is the FP gacha, and it offers servants and ces from 1 to 3 star (some of these are even used in level 80 fights, so don't write them off).  You also get between 1 and 3 star Fou and Exp cards, which are the most commonly rolled, so even at higher levels it's really helpful.

....there's also going to be a super rare servant that you can only get from the FP gacha, and the percentage to roll him is even lower than that of 5 stars.  He sucks in combat, though, so he's mostly there for collection purposes...

Then there's the story gacha, which is always there.  The only advantage it has to rate-up gacha is that any servants unlocked after completing a chapter will always be available to roll there.  It's rarely used, though, and honestly it's a better option when you're a newer player or a player with less than four 5 star servants.  The only other use for it outside of that is to hopefully roll a 5 star CE that isn't event-related.

And then there are the event gachas.  These typically have certain servants or sets of servants featured, and you have a higher chance of getting them if you roll a 3, 4, or 5 star.  This gacha is the kind most commonly used, as limited servants or some story-locked servants are offered through this kind of gacha.  Keep in mind that this doesn't increase the chance of rolling a 4 or 5 star servant; in creases the likelihood of getting that particular featured servant if you do hit those magic 3 or 1 percent rolls.  That's why it's called a rate-up.  Also, unless a story-locked servant is featured for the rate-up, or if the event gacha allows unlocked story servants, you can't roll story-locked servants in this kind of gacha.

If the NA servers follow the JPN server's lead, then it's likely that you'll also see what's called a Paid Quartz Guaranteed 5 star gacha.  This kind has a set number of 5 stars, usually with predetermined servants availabe to roll.  You're guaranteed to roll at least one of the 5 stars available in this gacha.  However, they require the use of Quartz that you've purchased (if the QoL updates are what I think they are, it'll be 30 paid quartz).  This option is helpful if you're hurting for 5 stars, but it only comes around at New Year's or during the game's anniversary.  People have been hoping for limiteds to be offered in such a gacha, but it's increasingly looking like that's not going to ever happen.  Again, you have to pay money for this option, but it's not wasted as you will get a 5 star.

I'll echo that if you really want some of the best in the game from the start, you should try to reroll accounts until you get both Hercules and Waver.  However, a recent strengthening quest for Jeanne d'Arc has made her viable again in Arts comps and some survival builds, so don't pass on her either.  Besides, she's the only Ruler class servant that you can roll at any time and is non-limited, so her resistances, HP, and Noble Phantasm make her one of the best tanks up through Londonium (chapter 4).  So I'd add Jeanne into that group.  Altera is also a decent grab, as her NP is a solid AoE damage dealer, and she can contribute to the party with one of her active skills.  She'll be outclassed by Mordred when Londonium comes around, though.

Also, get Nero and Saber Alter Arturia as soon as you can.  Nero has insane survivability after her second interlude with Thrice Setting Sun, and Saber Alter is one of the best 4 star Buster AoE NPs in the game.  Only recently has she been passed by Suzuka Gozen.  Both Alter and Nero are story-locked, though, so you'll need to clear the Fuyuki prologue chapter for Alter, and the September chapter (chapter 2) for Nero, before they're available in the story gacha.
