What game are you playing/looking towards?

So... I decided to get Skyrim, since it's down to $30 now. Believe it or not, I spent almost an entire day on one USER-MADE quest series-

Maids II: Deception. (II, because it apparently started with an Oblivion mod)

For those that do decide to try this out if they haven't, be careful. I finished episode 3 (there's 5 planned episodes, 3 is the last one released so far), and I almost wish I never played it in the first place. It left such a powerful impact on me. This quest mod is very well put together, beyond the whole "maid" function it adds.

In fact, speaking of which, I added a few fetishy wardrobe mods to the game too, which included a slick maid outfit, which through custom outfit settings for maids, let me put those onto her.

So I just watched the Konami pre-E3 show... No... Just... No. I could go on a huge rant about that thing that calls itself Castlevania or Kojima being star struck... But no. I feel too dead inside.

Oh, and turns out RE: Revelations doesn't have local co-op for Raid mode, so that's another thing that feel like a knife in my back that I could rant endlessly, but again, too dead inside. That being said, the game so far is quite nice. Has a nice polish, looks pretty, plays well(trying to get a head shot on a ooze is rather manic though, but that's the point so props to that), and entertaining so far. Raid mode is interesting. You basically play short versions of Story missions as a character of your chosing. Each character has a different starting weapon and different buffs like reload speed with pistol or decrease in machine gun knock up. Enemies have health bars and sometimes special stats like more damage and toughness. You pick up drops, weapons, and custom parts for those weapons that add buffs like plus 4% weapoin damage and +60% knockback. There's a shop were you can buy said weapons and upgrades for them and your character, as well as refill your ammo. You level up to have access to stronger and different weapons like rifles and 3 barrel shotguns. Ammo doesn't refill after a mission, so it adds a progressive continuous feel to it. So far though it doesn't have the hoard or rush feeling that Mercenaries does, but that's okay. Feels more like a stand alone mode, and does so very well. I'm very okay okay with this.

The first free demo for Project X Zone is out, in case anyone is interested. You can get it by downloading it off of your 3DS's Nintendo Shop Channel. Here's my thoughts so far.

As far as the storyline goes, there's not much detailed, save for seeing Ken, Ryu, Kite, Blackrose, Sakura, Ogami, and other characters encountering a bunch of baddies from various games. Soon into the demo, though, Aya-me (a former ally of Ogami's that was converted into a sexy villainess, go watch Sakura Taisen btw ), appears, leading the other mobs. Upon defeating all enemies on the map (which isn't too hard once you get a feel for how you can deal a ton of damage), she takes off.

Gameplay wise: you can maneuver your characters (usually definined by one character on the map, though its typically two to a party, with an optional third to join in if you call for them) in a similar manner to tactic RPGs, like FFTactics. The movement grid is pretty big for each character, though, so you rarely have to go to the end of your movement grid and pass your turn. Combat revolves around the A button and the D-pad, and there's a convenient list of what moves are available to you on the touch-sensitive screen. Now, you're usually limited to three to four attacks per team, including if you have a third that attacks by themself. But if you're within range of another pair of heroes, you can call them to combine their attacks with yours, which goes into a "X-Attack" (Cross-Attack) for increased damage. In addition, you have a gauge that builds as you deal attacks called the XP gauge (Cross-P, or Cross-Power). I got this confused with actual experience, thinking that you use the exp you accumulate to power it up, but I figured it out. When you get your XP gauge over 100%, you can do a special combo attack that does A LOT of damage. So the gameplay is centered around stringing together hits, positioning your heroes appropriately to utilize four to five heroes attacking at once, and doing all this so you can get enough hits to pull off a Special. Its like they threw in some fighting game mechanics into a TRPG, and made it a new kind of action RPG.

Lightning Returns looks like a lot of fun and I'm dying to know how the story concludes but I'm really looking forward to FFXV (formerly versus XIII) though I'm a tad bit disappointed that there are no playable female characters (as of this point) to use as conversion/hypno bait, I guess Stella will have to do. I'll play KHIII when it comes out but first I need to replay all the old ones since I haven't done that in years.

Yeah, XV looks like a mostly bishe party and gives off a strong yakuza vibe.  I must admit, when "Versus" was first shown, I flipped a table in rage, but this new trailer has actually enticed me.  As for females, we know that there is Stella and mysterious Dragoon lady, however I wouldn't be surprised if they threw in a Hostess club or something(like a less pronounced Honey Bee Inn) because places like that always seem to show up in stories like this.  I'm also sure there will be some seductive female at some point, possibly an enemy...  Though I have a feeling as far as pixiv goes I'm looking at a flood of more yaoi art for the final fantasy tag.

Oh, and you know they'll be releasing Kingdom Hearts 1.5 soon right? It's going to have all that extra stuff the japanese version had, Chain of Memories(PS2 version), and 365/2 days(in movie form), all in HD of course.

I know about KH 1.5. Going to pre-order it soon. I kinda hope that KHIII is the final game in the series (or at least the end of Sora and co.)I just think the series has become oversaturated at this point.

Really looking forward to Lords of Shadow 2, I know a lot of Castlevania fans didn't like the reboot but I personally loved it. (I just hope they don't fuck it up like they did with the 3DS game) Looks like a lot of fun plus plenty of vampire sexiness to go around as well.

So much... League... Stayed up all night playing it. I had some good games, some middle of the road games, and some bad games, but over all it was a fun experience because we were pretty much always a full team of friends, heh. That being said, I tore some ass up as Riven.. Though games with a Darius or Aatrox top... UUUUUGH! Especially Darius. But I've made some notes for next time... huhuhuhu~

Also, given Pantheon a shot, and I like him, quite a good deal. But yeah, I got a pretty good roster of Top characters, including but not limited to Renekton, Jax, Garen, and of course, Vi =) I can even Jungle somewhat effectively with her. Of course I'm a most excellent support as well with Sona. ADC and Mid... I need some work on.

It was a toss-up between that and Tales of Xillia, which comes with character book and music CD. I went with Xillia. Honestly, I could afford whateverthefrack I want, but I don't like spending on so many games in such a period of time... already done enough of that with Steam Summer deals lately.

But yeah, played Dragon's Crown with my friends, and got to the vampire part.  You're escorting some pure beautiful maidens back(3 in total) and then you fight a number of vampires who if they bite one of the maidens, she will turn...  Unfortunately I couldn't really see it as that would be counterproductive to winning, hehehe.  But it looks like I'll be getting the PS3 back soon, so I'll make sure to explore that.

There is also the sexy and mysterious dark elf race you hear about who can control and have absolute dominance over beasts... and of course my brain goes "I wonder if they are working on extending that..."

In stuff I'm actually looking forward to, and have been for a long ass time, I finally saw some of the newer Yabai trailers and gameplay.  Yabai looks like a true psychotic badass, the game looks like a nice cross between Bayonetta/Devil May Cry(3&4) and Lollipop Chainsaw(which I really need to play at some point).  Also, Keiji Inafune(aka awesome guy, creator of the Megaman series, X, and Zero, as well as titles such as Dead Rising and Onimusha) is behind it, so funs.

Well the early access for FF 14 :ARR starts this weekend and the game officially launches Tuesday. It looks great but if I do try it I think I'll wait a few months so they can get all the kinks/bugs fixed. Haven't seen much about the monsters you can fight but hopefully there might be some encounters with some Barb-Es or some of her kin.

Doesn't look like we'll get much, there's Garuda, but there have been pics popping up of what I assume to be a villainess.

Also, Dragon's Crown is provide some nice content as far as the vampires and harpies goes, I even ran into a quest where you have to go face a harpy alone, and it provides nice art upon completion. Needless to say a bad end with a female character is running through my head.  I hope I run into some vampire art.

Pictures earlier than that, 3 to 4 weeks ago.  It's nice to hear that we have a succubus THAT ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE A SUCCUBUS!*cough**HACK*COUGH*  Excuse me... had a bird in my throat...  That being said, she's quite lovely, and the fact that she has female servants called Lady's Handmaiden and Manor Maidservant(like a extra punch, that word, almost like their servants to the handmaidens).  I hope we see a good amount of fanart of her, and her servants.  Still, this is standard MMO affair nowadays so it would be more bizarre if they didn't do it(Reminds me, I should put up something concerning TERA and that witch academy...).  I know I shouldn't complain of course, but would of been too much to ask for A) A seductive villainess who uses wiles/charm or B) a seductive monstergirl that is acknowledge in a story sequence instead of a dirty little secret in FFXIII, or, heck, any major RPG of recent.  I would put Shadow Rise up there, but somehow they forgot to give her Marin Karin... How...

Sorry, I'm being bitter, haven't slept all night, was up doing solo only story quest in Dragon's Crown.  Have I mentioned how much I love Dragon's Crown by the way?  It actually does B(up there ^) very well with Harpies, Vampires, and stories of monstergirls and goddesses and so much other lovely stuff.  It also makes me enjoy sidequesting more than I already do, with rewarding me with art...  I really love this game...  Did I mention how fucking sexy and beautiful the art can be?  Seriously, it is owed to pretty much everyone of this group to play it somehow...  Hell, we have a sidequest about going alone to a Harpy's nest alone to find out what happened to this guy who was bewitched by one.  It also has a sidequest about a Scylla that is a reference to the game Catherine... and the art is just great for it...  There's art for succubi if you do a quest for this man who is being tempted by Incubi to join the dark side(I'm not sure if this is some weird translation error, or if they just wanted to show a sexy picture of two succubi).  I will say it doesn't sugar coat it for the most part, these things are monsters after all, and it explains this very well with the harpies(especially with the picture you get of the chicks).  Oh, did I forget to mention that every picture you get comes with a short followup story about the sidequest?  It's great lore stuff, and also give you f-ing closure.  I do want to gather all the relevant art, but it would feel like cheating...  Well, we'll see.  If any of this comes off as coherent, yay!

On another note about Dragon's Crown, it's Hard mode, and Very Hard mode, ACTUALLY HAS A STORY CHANGE!  That's just such a revelation to me, because usually it's like, here's a challenge you can do, or not, not like you're missing anything.  But this goes straight to it, right after the credit it explains why things will be more difficult and how it is still part of the story.

In gaming news, I broke down and got Killer is Dead.  1) I'm interested in Suda51's work but have never played any of his games, 2) I like things that play like Revengeace or Devil May Cry, and this certainly looks close, 3) It's just too trippy for me to ignore.  

However, first I want to make some more progress in Dragon's Crown with my Elf.  Mark my works, I WILL HAVE EVERY SINGLE PIC IN THAT GALLERY IF I HAVE TO SCRAP AND CRAWL MY WAY THROUGH MULTIPLE BOSSES!

In the meantime, I'll listen to Killer is Dead soundtrack, and avoid looking into the artbook for now.

Killer is Dead is turning out extremely fun and amusing.  Combatwise it's got a very nice system(dodges that turn into 1,000 SLASH! or headshots at enemies shooting far away from you, devil trigger instakills, charge cannons, ALL THE FUN).  The gigolo missions are funny as they are damn sexy.  The Scarlet ones just make me laugh out loud each time(the oversexualized way she struts towards you followed by Mondo's incredibly cool guy pose).  I admit, I wasn't much looking forward to them, but they're just so silly fun.  Oh, and the upgrades, SO MANY UPGRADES to your health, blood(mana) and various combat techniques.  So yeah, having a lot of fun with it.  Unfortunately it looks like it will be a short game, but trying to get AAA on missions should be fun and it seems like it would have high replay ability.  

At some point, I will get back to Dragon's Crown.  Looks like I'm gonna have to solo the knight and the wizard since everybody I know who can play with me can only do so 1 day out the whole week.  I will wait for that patch for the Wizard though, charging up your spells just sounds like all types of fun.

Also, a trailer has come out for the new Grasshopper(aka Suda51) game, Lily Bergamo.  While it's short(less than a minute), and doesn't show any gameplay, the artstyle looks VERY nice, it's gonna have a heroine as the main character, and it appears she uses bandages as a weapon to bind her enemies.  Further details reveals it's going to be a cross between a hack n' slash and a rpg.  They say it's going to be a unique blend, but for me it will depend on how deep they delve into the rpg aspect, because most every hack n' slash has a rpg element in your ability to improve your character with various upgrades to life, specials, and attacks.  They also say it will be non-linear and it's an idea Suda has had for a long time.  Anyway, without further adieu, the trailer(sorry, there is not one without that guy translating the words over it =( )
